    Just wondering. For those of you who are ok with Biden and Harris being our Leaders. Why do you have no problems with them? Do you have any concerns about them at all?

    And what were your issues with Trump besides I imagine his personality? Do you not like any things he accomplished at President? Why do you feel Biden and Harris will be better for us?

    They’re sane, and their priorities agree broadly with most Americans’. They’ll do their best to cooperate with Republicans, but that’s likely hopeless. Look at what is happening with the stimulus. McConnell has a veto. He doesn’t need to and won’t accept compromise.

    what matters to many evangelicals are a couple of social issues like abortion and LGBT rights. Those are going to be settled by the Supreme Court and not the president. But if it comes to the president, Biden agrees with the majority of Americans.

    I am so relieved, and my relief grows with each member of the cabinet he chooses.

    My principal concern is that Mitch McConnell will remain Senate majority leader and obstruct everything they try to change.

    My second concern is that Trump will continue to try to turn our country into an authoritarian dictatorship by starting a media company. It's like an emperor's new clothes situation. Even when he is no longer the emperor, 74 million voters will still be willing to abandon the Constitution to follow him.

    What was wrong with Trump's leadership? He filled his staff with lobbyists and looters who dismantled departments while living the high life on our dime. Trump offended our allies, left the WHO and the Paris Accords, inflamed racism and hatred, has massive tax cuts for the rich that gave us massive deficits, defied the rule of law...

    It will take years for America to be America again. History will look at Trump's presidency as our greatest crisis.

    Let’s hope so. A second Trump presidency could be a lot worse.

    I do not really, but would have if the senate did not keep a republican majority. This gives balance that hopefully will keep Harris in check of Biden becomes sick or something.

    Revybub: And what were your issues with Trump besides I imagine his personality? Do you not like any things he accomplished at President?

    Trump suffers from Bi-polar syndrome which seems to be untreated. I'm not sure if he might not end up a good president if he had gotten the treatment he needs, but without it, he is a loose gun that too many do not realize his compromised state and actually believe his psychotic episodes are valid. So his problem is not personality but metal health.

    Another reason his getting help for this disorder might be because metal health issues are on the rise and someone with his level of visibility could help an enormous number of others suffering with these same problems.
    Let us hope he does after he leaves office.

    Still Biden though not perfect is at least more stable. So is Harris its her far left stance I'm uncomfortable about. But I firmly believe Biden will go at least four years, and who knows maybe he can mellow her. Time will tell.

    The US is going in the wrong direction. Biden does agree with the majority and the majority of the the people are godless. I'm sorry but I just can't find a positive in continuing down this path.

    It is difficult to think this question is serious. Biden, for all his other weaknesses, is a sane mature adult. Donald Trump is clearly a narcissist adolescent. No, wait, that is an insult to adolescents. Make that a narcissist child.

    As to my issues with Trump, here are just a few:

    - he is basically guilty of a form of murder of hundreds of Americans for encouraging maskless rallies;
    - he lies to a degree that no President - past or future - can possibly match;
    - he is wildly irresponsible about a critical issue: climate change;
    - he issues dog whistles to racists;
    - he actively attempts to subvert the institutions of democracy (such as a free press).

    Shall I go on?

    The idea of a Republican Senate to balance him would have made more sense a couple of decades ago. With McConnell in charge, the Senate will prevent anything good, even if it’s a moderate, mainstream thing. One of the biggest tests will be when the pandemic looks like it's about over. At that point, the right thing would be a major push to build or renew infrastructure. Both Republicans and Democrats have agreed on that for some time. But I don't think the Senate will give it to a Democratic president.

    This is particularly an issue because he's indicated he won't try to make law by executive order, though I'm sure he'll reverse most of Trump's. Remember, he believes in traditional institutions and processes.

    I'm less clear about Harris, but her pastor says she attends church regularly.

    You really did go the heart of the matter there, rev!

    For all the invective that's been directed at President Trump over the past four years, there is hardly a single complaint made against him that isn't equally applicable to Biden.

    But, as we have seen, the critics of Trump don't care in the least about that awkward fact of life.

    The most recent example being the ongoing issue with Hunter and the four federal investigations that can no longer be ignored or called Russian disinformation.

    The President was confronted daily about his son and a tower meeting,

    The 'president elect' doesn't answer any questions about his son being investigated except to say how proud he is of him.

    Where is the hard hitting Jim Acosta speaking truth to power?

    Hunter isn’t president elect. His father doesn’t necessarily know the specifics about his tax returns. My father certainly didn’t.

    As I noted, nothing that the opponents of President Trump say against him fails to be replicated in the former Vice-President. Yet, they talk about him like he's the greatest thing since Mother Teresa.

    And by the way, you just gave us a great example of the point. No, Hunter Biden isn't the president-elect, but Barron Trump and Melania Trump were attacked simply for being related to Donald Trump.

    Not by me, and not in threads I’ve participated in. I would particularly oppose holding a 14 year old responsible for his family (particularly since he apparently supports Biden).
