Here is your destiny...
Romans 8:29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn
among many brethren.
To be one with the Father and the Son...
John 17:
20 I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, in Me, and I in You;
that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know
that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
To be found in Him upon His return.
1 John 4:17. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
Agreed.
Um...this passage doesn't say that Christians will be - or should be - one with the Father and Son but with each other as members of the Body of Christ, the Church.
Not that we would be God, but that our relationship to God would reflect their relationship.23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one
Of course. Until that day,Is this the destiny of the believer? When I look into Scripture, it appears this is merely the beginning of the destiny, the eternal journey, a child of God takes with God through and in Christ.
To be found in Him upon His return.
1 John 4:17. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
