Corruption and horrendous and wicked evil.

We could all give anonymously. For instance, if we know a family, like a single mom, is struggling, we could leave a food box at her front door and ring the bell and leave.
That's what SNAP and WIC are for.
Of course poverty is unsolvable for the world, but individuals we can help. It's an unsolvable problem.

Yes, but can we reach these kids?
Thank you. For that same reason i started this thread. Why do you think i pray?
There are organizations and individuals that He raises up to go where no man may have ventured before.
Thus, the praying.

Find a homeless man and help him. Help a struggling family. Im having a hard time forgetting those kids in Africa though, they dont have the wealth america does.Ok.
What can we do, right where we live?

And thisThus, we pray.
We do what we can right where we are, and in the meantime we pray for what is beyond our reach, asking God to intervene, open doors, and guide us in how we can intervene/help.
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." ~Jam 5:16
If we were all doing our part, we'd all be looking beyond short term solutions.Wrong. If we eliminated their poverty in the short term they would quickly find ways to return to it, mainly by immediately increasing their birth rates to unsustainable levels.
And this
Proverbs 31:8 Open your mouth for the mute,
For the [a]rights of all the unfortunate.
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And [c]defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.
You cant control the politics of every nation or tribe. wars break out over such things. If we were all doing our part, we'd all be looking beyond short term solutions.
We don't need to control the politics to send any amount of help somewhere. You cant control the politics of every nation or tribe. wars break out over such things.
Ok, i understand, thank you.We don't need to control the politics to send any amount of help somewhere.
Regardless, when I said "if we all did our part", I meant if all of us did our part, including those in other nations.
This is the Gospel in practice but no one likes to apply it to themselves. Surely God doesn't expect me to invite a stranger in and put my family at risk? We are all to scared to speak it out too because that means we have to practice what we preach. The government and chruches and agencies "we" ? , no - they are perpetuating and increasing poverty for the poor and oppressed, the widows, and orphans, and the sick/ disabled.
Ekkelsia "we" ? As written if we have 2 shirts, and SEE someone who needs it, we give it to them.
If we have food, and SEE someone who is hungry, we feed them.
If we have a roof over our heads, with 'authority' to do this, if we SEE someone homeless or needing a place to sleep for the night, we invite the homeless and the poor travelers in to stay with us for the night.
We cannot give to whom we cannot see (except as written as the Apostles and elders did in the New Testament),
and
we cannot give what we do not have, can we ?
A LOT can be done with two loaves of bread and some fish though, right ? (as in the feeding of thousands) ....
