Yes! Kids need times where they can pretend . I never stopped mine from trick or treating and I’d make their costumes out of paper , glitter and glue . It bothers me that some people think this silly roll playing is bad . Children worry about enough stuff without adults adding imaginary problems to that list . Small Kids already worry about the monster in the closet and the one under the bed . A miserable fearful childhood because of a stupid adult behavior is not fair to a child

Yes. I would say it’s a parents job to give their kids happy Halloweens, Christmases, Easters, etc. What concerns you?

Toddlers bobbing for apples in the pool should be monitored.

Halloween IS one of the most "holiest" of days of the year for satan and his satanist worshipers. Jeremiah Films has produced a 13 part series entitled, "The Pagan Invasion" (1991) and part one is entitled, "Halloween: Trick or Treat?"

and about 3:20 into it it begins. It is meant for adults. The informational CONTENT is the focus, not the dated video presentation by JF. Regional head/queen/princess witches are interviewed, an x satan worshiper's horrible experience and plea to Christians and much more. The broom stick between legs has ritual significance in enhancing focus and spiritual power in satan worship and is practiced today around an actual cold-urn. There is another video put out later in 2014 by Revelation TV with the identical title about 37 min. with British accented people which was apparently put out by individuals wishing to dispel any fears or concerns about occult activity in our world. Making the occult appear harmless and very friendly and nice. Really. Its title has no colon in it. Then there is a brilliantly created poetic prose which takes the position to mock or dispel any concern and just go ahead and send your Christian children out on Halloween 'cause we know who wins in the end:
and apparently not to be concerned about how participating in such may affect the children's regard or understanding or identification of evil in their lives now.

My take on trying to balance all of the available info, certainly including God's Word, is that if I were to send my children out to get candy and treats it would be with them at a church harvest festival or parking lot handout and if costumes were worn they would be of good and holy things as regarded by our God, Jehovah and not by satan. They would reflect the light and goodness and truth of God and NOT the darkness and evil and deception of satan. And I would make sure that they were aware of some who think it is a night to celebrate scary and evil and bad things but we are not part of that group. AND I would make sure that my children knew by heart verses such as and esp. James 4:7.

As far as I know it was started by some druids which came for you could say modern day "donations" and if not they would send curses on you "tricks".
Halloween is satanic in it's nature btw .

PLEASE, go to the parenting forum and say that you think it is the parents job to make their children happy. Please. You REALLY need to learn something about that perspective before it is too late.

Oh, welcome to CF. Don't mind me. I am too frank or blunt some times. I don't mean anything personal. I'm trying to save you a WHOLE lot of trouble and literal hell in parenthood.

Why did you quote my post to another poster (A SINNER) and not even allude to it? Accident?
Well, would you play with the brother of Sadam Housain? They are related. Would you have played with Adolf Hitler's relative or a mass murder and rapist's sister or brother. The Bible, Proverbs, says that bad company CORRUPTS good character. A game or anything which is based upon evil, as you agree, should be avoided, I think. There are too many, many, many games out there to have to even spend a second analyzing that, don't you think? Many times evil spirits accompany evil games or books waiting to entice a new prey.

Jags, I thought that you were talking board games but the same goes for any kind of game. I am probably old enough to be your grandfather. May I suggest that you and your friends be careful not to become obsessed with the fantasy world. I know how it is becoming a very intricate and complex integration of synchronized team effort (team members from distant locations) and developing that to a degree is great. But it is still just entertainment and not real life. Because of so much time spent on computers these days many are losing extremely valuable developmental time in the face to face social realm. And it is in that realm which marriage, raising a family, applying for a job, and so much more exists. School sports, band, chess, martial arts, dance, other board games are great, too. If what I just said is defunct, I apologize. I have seen young men in the military as we prepared to go to Iraq who had their heads all screwed up about what was really real because of their gaming and it could have cost them and everyone around them their lives.

All I can say to that is today one has to be VERY, VERY careful when dealing with someone who calls themselves a Christian. Many think that they are such merely because they are a citizen of the USA or their parents/spouse are/is or because they go to church or perform certain rituals or are good people. If that is all that they can claim they have absolutely no connection with God through Christ Who himself claimed that He was the ONLY way to God the Father (John 14:6); there is NO spiritual goodness in them and they are blind to the real matters of God. I am baffled (as I am sure others are), for example, right here on CF in discovering how many claim to be Christian in the margin but who are blind to the fundamentals of the faith and/or behave and talk in such mean, cruel, and just plainly evil ways.

We have to guard our hearts as the Bible says. We have to guard ourselves and go beyond the outward appearances and discern if what we are hearing and seeing aligns with the Spirit (Word) of God or the world. This is why it is so important to personally study and know God's Word. Some people who would have you think that they are Christian are only putting out that facade to disarm prey for perpetration, not just in the physical sense but also for things like getting you on board to accept their perversions and unGodly thinking. For ex, Islam allows its believers to sin in deception and feign (fake; lie about) allegiance to opposing faiths/countries for the purpose of "evangelization" of their faith throughout the world. And the news sadly informs us of "Christian" perpetrators regularly.

About that neighborhood bonfire I would have wanted to make sure that they were making a clear and loud statement of separation from any collusion/adaption of any connection with the dark practices of Halloween including bone-fires, which you learned is from where we get the word bonfire if you watched the first video. I would have expected some flyers and/or a poster or cross placed in clear view to passer by's making that distinction. Then there is the leadership of the proceedings and focal point discussion(s) and activities. If they all aligned with Godliness and not the dark, scary, deceptive things of satan it could be acceptable. But a very clear and loud statement of distinction from Halloween practices would need to be in place. The Bible warns us not to even have the "appearance" of evil and passer by's could easily think that there is a Christian couple hosting a Halloween celebration steeped in satanic ritual.

Did you see in the first video the mention of bobbing for apples and from where putting lighted (candled) pumpkins on your porch came? The occult; the former, a fertility ritual and the later, an appeasement to demons passing by. Yes, REALLY practiced for these reasons; witches and warlocks tell us that in the video.

I agree that dressing up in costume was originally a protective ritual to sorta hide from bad spirits . In modern times it’s silly to believe in those superstitions . Personally I think believing that these old rituals are somehow significant gives them the power to harm you because it makes you fearful of silly things. Stevie Wonder said it best” When you believe in things that you don’t understand then you suffer. Superstition ain’t the way! “

My Mom’s side of the family for years believed that because it rained where we lived in NYC during moonshots and other space rockets , it meant God didn’t want us in space. I finally had to point out to them that it meant that there was clear weather in Florida when in rained in NYC. Their ignorant superstition made them fearful of a normal weather pattern . I see something similar going on with this silly blather over Halloween
