Romans 9:24-26 ...Those who were not My people, I will call My people and the unloved, I will call loved.
In the very place, [the holy Land] where they, [ethnic Israelites] were told: you are no children of Mine, those people, [every born again Christian] will be called children of the Living God.

    Clear enough?

Romans 9 addresses your question, particularly this verse:

"But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but 'Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.' This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring." - Romans 9:6-8

Paul makes the point that God didn't forsake his Jewish people. On the contrary, the remnant who believe are proof of that, and it is that remnant who are God's people (including the apostle himself). The rest of the nation no longer share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, they are removed by their unbelief. Jews today, apart from Christ, remain strangers to God unless they repent and believe.

Us Gentiles were grafted in among the believing Jews, giving us the right to everything the believing Jews have in Christ. We are children of promise too, thus making us Abraham's offspring, and part of the true Israel of God.

"And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise." - Galatians 3:29

Only Christians are God's people, we Gentiles happen to have been grafted in with the Jewish believers as God's people.

1Pe 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

The question is not as simple as you say. For example are child molestering Priests or money grabbing tv evangelists whom are all Christians Gods people?

Or are you trying to split the difference between Jew and Gentile? Please be more specific.

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

Hosea “Yet the number of the children of Israel
Shall be as the sand of the sea,
Which cannot be measured or numbered.
And it shall come to pass
In the place where it was said to them,
    ‘You are not My people,'[fn]
There it shall be said to them,
You are sons of the living God.'

Paul in Romans For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Israel is still the entity for many prophecies. The Jews have prepared for the 3rd temple and have been talking about the ark of the covenant like is it in Ethiopia or buried somewhere on the temple mount. This is interesting that they are talking about it. Jeremiah 3 says Israel will come to a time when they do not mention it ever again and that is when the LORD's throne is established in Jerusalem. All this the church is Israel is only partly correct. The spiritual Israel of those saved is a fact. The promises to national Israel are many and they will not fail.
14 “Return, O backsliding children,” says the LORD; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. 15 And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
16 “Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the LORD, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.
17 “At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.
18 “In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers.

Both the Jews and the believers are His people. The Jews are not saved by the old covenant by the way as this salvation for Israel is future. They will have their Joseph moment when they realize that Jesus is God incarnate revealed at the 2nd coming.

Mat 25:1 "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Mat 25:3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
Mat 25:4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Mat 25:5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
Mat 25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8 And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
Mat 25:11 "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!'
Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
Mat 25:13 "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

2Th 1:7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Th 1:9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
2Th 1:10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

your post supports my position as the 1st section you quote is certainly drawing a line and you are on one side of it or not. I see the spiritual law that the victory of sin is death. The promise you quote can be showing who is raptured and who is not. Jews not saved are living in spiritual mortal peril. They come to faith at the 2nd coming or during the tribulation. This is the group that Isaiah 61 talks about in the day of vengeance of our God. You see if there is a millennium then those left of the nations seen in Zech 14 will include survivors from many nations and they will be the ones who live and repopulate the earth while the LORD's throne is in Jerusalem. The wrath of God is clearly seen in the tribulation as described in your quote. This is no the end of this earth. In Zech 14 we see Jerusalem being overrun and the women being ravished on the day the LORD returns. At the end of the 1000 years after Satan has been bound and then released he gathers an army and surrounds Jerusalem and then fire comes down from heaven and that is it. These are totally separate events with a 1000 years in between.

"one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. 15 And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding."

If you watched the video posted on this thread you have seen the living proof of this prophecy being fulfilled and there are many more around the world just like these young men. As Paul said,

Rom 11:14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

    Truly a reason to rejoice.
