Appeasment and compromise for the sake of peace?

This is an age old question, and one that has long-term implications not only in the world of politics, but in the religious community.

When is it right to appease an opposing side to compromise the gospel for the sake of keeping the peace? Our there situations when this becomes necessary or do you stand firm in biblical principle and let the injustice fall where it may?

What does everyone think about this? This is a very relevant question since we have a variety of religous persuasions here, not only moderators but the rank and file members. When should this be done, and why?

Well, I guess you have never heard that when you do right and treated unjustly for it that you are to count it all joy for God will take notice. I believe this is a paraphrase from the Apostle Peter. Don't you think he would know?

Sorry, I misunderstood your first post. I thought you were saying treating others with biblical principals would mean you are treating them unjustly.
