Did not the Lord try the hearts in this, to this day?

Did not the Lord say to watch and not cave?

‘But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’

But what is it that ‘servant’ that fails to resist God’s ‘reason’ to fall for a ‘delusion’,

‘God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie’

2 Thessalonians 2:11​

Bottom line, they either are hastening the Lord’s appearing, or the Antichrist’s, we either are or are not doing God’s will before the brethren.

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

There most certainly is an impact to be avoided.
