Being escorted by the Capital Police to the wagon to be booked with your hands behind your back is not "Confidence and authority." Maybe she should have danced, she would have gained much more attention. She wasn't cuffed, when she thought she was out of the view of the cameras, she raised her fist. Proud monumental moment for the ineffective and insecure. She should have been inside her office faking fright as she did on January 6th. (Those offices are hundreds of yards away from the Capital Building. She was never there.) Can't wait to see the Tic Tok or whatever she prowls on to boast about her conquest.

They were arrested for blocking the street. The law you quoted only applies to the Supreme Court Building grounds. Protests on the sidewalks in front of, and surrounding the Supreme Court Building, are perfectly legal and protected by the First Amendment.

OK, I agree. Being on the sidewalk is not against the law. Blocking traffic is.

The Congresswomen did break the law blocking traffic then. Just a misdemeanor
from my understanding, unless you're the one stuck in the gridlock trying to get some where. Usually road-block protests turns more people against the cause than for it.

The DC Police anticipated protestors would try to storm the building, so
were proactive in protecting the building and justices.

They need to be detained the normal way. Let them set in the holding cells like everyone else does and then be arraigned.
