Hi, I'm currently about halfway through this book and would really like to discuss it. I learned about it when I stumbled on Alisa Childers' vlog. If anyone has read or is reading this book and would like to discuss please be sure to comment.

First question, why did you pick up her book?

I picked up her book because I wanted to know what a deconstruction experience was like, to determine whether I have ever had anything similar, and to understand why some who experience a deconstruction of their faith completely reject the core tenants of Christianity while others find a firmer foundation.

Second question, have you had a similar experience of being in a church group that led discussions in a deconstruction manner like Childers describes?

I haven't. That being said, I am aware of progressive movements in churches, and I do imagine discussions like Childers describes had to occur to create the changes seen at the denominational level.
