So, I read the news today about Russia.

Even though I suppose I shouldn’t. My husband told me not to awhile ago.

And now I feel physically ill.

My heart literally hurts.

I’m trying to remind myself that God is in control, to not be anxious/worried, have hope, and to trust in the Lord.

I read (Attention, Christians!. Priest Tarasiy Borozenets) that “He who obeys Christ fears nothing and no one, is not tempted by anything or anyone, does not become conceited and is not saddened by anything or anyone”

I am incredibly saddened by these things (though I do try not to be frightened…it is difficult). Does that mean I am not obeying Christ?

I’m not sure, I feel sick to my stomach. The hormones aren’t helping either I think?

Your issue could well be physical, rather than spiritual.

Check it out with your doctor.

I’ve had my hormones checked and I see a doctor for my anxiety. I said hormonal mostly in reference to pms as my anxiety tends to spike during pms

I am not Orthodox, but the best solution is to block the news websites, and turn off the news. :)
Also, that priest is a macho man. Real Christians sometimes cry and have discouragement. Nowhere in the Bible says that crying is a sin. Heck, Tarasiy Borozenets is probably too afraid to show his face anywhere, but it is not my place to judge him.

Remember, if the world ends abruptly, which it would probably not end in the 2020s, that means we instantly go into Heaven as Christians, so we must rejoice. These are three devotionals that discuss how we must not be discouraged, and how God has won our battles.

Weathering Discouragement Devotional:

Fear Not of the End Times Devotional:

Battle Stations - A Spiritual Warfare Devotional (spoiler alert: God already won the war on the cross):
