Very toxic, wear gloves and be careful no pets can get to it. But it works.

I also use Terro.

It depends where they are.
I have used terro. I also have pest control come on regular maintenance. They have been bad where I live for quite a few years.

A similar thing happened to us. We tried spraying the perimeter, too, but those ants kept coming. Have you considered using diatomaceous earth around the house? It's a natural ant deterrent. Also, sealing cracks or openings where they might be getting in could help. While I'm here, how do you guys deal with yellow jacket nests? We have one in our backyard, and the struggle is real. Friends advised us to check out https://www.richlandpestbee.com/stinging-insect-control/yellow-jackets/. I hope it helps, but I will also be grateful for your tips! Hang in there!
For wasp nests above ground, I spray its opening just a little after sunset, when they are back for the evening.
(That does not work for underground nests.)
