Last Thursday, an unauthorized sign with the words, "There is Queer Blood on Homophobic Hands," was placed outside DeBartolo Hall and widely shared across social media. The sign contained many articles from the Irish Rover and the Observer which reflect Catholic doctrine regarding human sexuality, implying that the authors of these were responsible for the deaths of "queer" people nationwide.

There are wrong things which have resulted in many deaths. So, if we do not point out what is wrong, we could be responsible for the deaths of many people.

There are various wrong things which can cause or lead to death, by suicide and by means of diseases and cancer and people trying to make their wrong things succeed but getting themselves killed.

While I was a Catholic, I was taught morals which helped to keep me from getting myself killed and already being in hell.

But if we point out that something is wrong, including such as adultery . . . there can be self-righteous people who might want to stone an adulteress. But they are wrong, too, and Jesus says to go and sin no more.

Uh, yeah... But we are discussing the op here. Catholic writers upholding Church teachings do not deserve this treatment as Catholic teaching also says we should treat homosexuals with dignity and respect.

That's an interesting article, not only in the fact that the signs appeared on campus, but also because of the reactions to the signs, neither of which is something that anyone would expect to find on the grounds of a Catholic college.

On the other hand, college campus's have long been the home of free thinking and dissent.

The one thing about this dissent that makes it different from all previous episodes of conflicting thoughts, is that this one promotes social actions and morals which--if followed to their logical conclusions-- will result in the decrease of numbers in future generations, and not in their preservation, or their well being.

So in summation, what we see here is the vocal public expression of a short term benefit at the expense of the long term survival of the species, and indeed the questionable future need for the survival of the college itself.

The tragedy is, this is exactly the kind of garbage that doesn't surprise me on the grounds of a Catholic college in developed Western countries at this point in the 21st century.
