What are the difference between animal soul and human soul? Why only human soul continue afterlife? We know that animals have feelings, memories, and in some case can learn moral values (police dogs) and this isn’t material things, they have a imaterial soul not a material soul, If their soul is imaterial, why stop to death? Why our soul not stop to death also?

The Bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have “souls” or whether pets/animals will be in heaven. However, we can use general biblical principles to develop some clarity on the subject. The Bible states that both man (Genesis 2:7) and animals (Genesis 1:30; 6:17; 7:15, 22) have the “breath of life”; that is, both man and animals are living beings. The primary difference between human beings and animals is that humanity is made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27), while animals are not. Being made in the image and likeness of God means that human beings are like God, capable of spirituality, with mind, emotion, and will, and they have a part of their being that continues after death. If pets/animals do have a “soul” or immaterial aspect, it must therefore be of a different and lesser “quality.” This difference possibly means that pet/animal “souls” do not continue in existence after death.

Another factor to consider regarding whether pets will be heaven is that animals are a part of God’s creative process in Genesis. God created the animals and said they were good (Genesis 1:25). Therefore, there is no reason why there could not be pets / animals on the new earth (Revelation 21:1). There will most definitely be animals during the millennial kingdom (Isaiah 11:6; 65:25). It is impossible to say definitively whether some of these animals might be the pets we had while here on earth. We do know that God is just and that when we get to heaven we will find ourselves in complete agreement with His decision on this issue, whatever it may be.

I believe animal souls continue in the afterlife. Who told you otherwise?

Animal souls

Animal souls are produced by material processes. The powers of their souls originate in organs of their bodies. For example the power to see originates in the eyes. The power to process nutrients and grow. The five senses, the power to feel emotions, remember and develop instincts. Powers that surround having a mortal body and serve the need to survive. All these powers of animal souls find their source in the materials of their bodies. The powers of their souls have material sources. Animal souls are products of earthly processes.

Human souls

Human souls contain the animal soul and these are called the lower faculties or the sensitive powers of the soul. These are powers of the human soul that like the animal souls find their source in the materials of the body. Human souls also have intellectual powers. These are the higher faculties of the human soul. The power to be self determined which involves free will and conscience. The rational powers of the soul. The power to reason. The ability to see a future in which the body will no longer exist. The power to seek good that is not determined by the bodily senses. The intellectual powers of the soul don't find their source in materials of the body. The powers of the human intellect do not originate in materials of the body so they demonstrate that the human soul is not the product of earthly processes but a creation directly from God.

I don't see in the scriptures that say human beings, or animals have immaterial souls. What I have found is that the scriptures say that human beings and animals are souls,(Genesis 2:7) so neither human beings or animals have immaterial souls. The scriptures show me that both the Hebrew word nephesh and the Greek word psykhe which are translated soul concerning an animal or a human being, refer to that which is material, tangible, visible, and mortal. So concerning the question you asked, "What are the difference between animal soul and human soul," there is no difference. Both animals and humans don't have immaterial souls but instead both human beings and animals are souls so are material. Both human beings and animals are oxygen breathing creatures(souls). The scriptures at Genesis 7:22 tell us that all the souls died both animals and human beings during the flood.

The apologists, twisted the Bible teaching of the soul by linking it with Plato’s philosophy that the soul is separate from the body, and is invisible immaterial and immortal. Christians don't have anything to do with the philosophy of men.
