• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Have you tried venting, throwing things, journaling... ?

Is it anything in particular that sets you off...or does it happen during certain times of the month (yeah, PMS...I went there )?

What about exercising when you start to feel pent up like that? Running would be a good activity. I would suggest a punching bag, too.

This might sound cheesey - but have you considered praying for those people each time they get on your nerves and you find yourself holding your tongue? That - or don't pray for patience with them, b/c God will give you opportunities to have to practice patience.

I can imagine that your job does wear you out, which makes it important to find a way to disconnect as much as you can from it emotionally while you are there and have healthy ways of burning off steam once you can leave.

I will lift you in prayer.

I work with the mentally ill & am the only child to a parent with Dementia/Parkison's & a host of medical ailments CHF & the like- I FEEL YOU SISTER. I have alot of tools
that I use to help me cope with the high level of Frustrations that I am exposed to.

I love quips & Quotes-also like affirmations they help calm me down-MEMORIZE em
so they can be available when you NEED em.

1) To handle yourself use YOUR head, to handle others use your Heart.
2) Only when it gets dark enough can you see the stars (there's beauty in every situation some just require a good set of field glasses)
3) Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new (Einstein)
4) Chance favors the prepared mind.
5) Fire Warms & Burns.
6) He who lives by emotion lives w/o principle (Nee)
7) Never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by stupidity.
8) The enemy is anybody who's going to get you killed, no matter what side their
on.
9) Don't Cross the stream to find water & always drink upstrem from the herd.
10)The Way Up and The way Down are the same.
11) Get yourself some upbeat music
12) Bubble bath is cheap & works wonders

The value in using quips- is that when the Mouth is Open the Brain has to shut down.

When you get angry you give others control over you. Be determined not to let others steal your joy by their remarks, or actions. The only thing that is more of a waste of time than anger is self-pity.

An unarmed man can only flee from evil & evil is not overcome by fleeing.

Be your own cheerleader: I bet you got 3 GOOD qualities-write em down & focus on em.

ALL you can do is all you can do, & all you can do is enough (even if it's not it still all you can do). You can't save the world or fix everything so quit trying & learn to do one thing & do it well. It's ok to be sad every once in awhile but there's no need in getting mad about it, & don't let yourself stay there long.

Choose to be happy & die Trying I mean there's only 3 answers to any problem. Give In, Give Up or Give it all you got, the rest is clutter. Unclutter.

Learn the difference between Need & Want.

Life it too short to wake up w/regrets (Keith Richards) So Love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't. We get a another chance tommorrow. Life is not fair-but it's still good. Agree to Disagree.

If we threw all our problems in a pile & saw everyone else's we grab ours back. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & show up--pretty soon it gets to be a good habit.

When you get REALLY MAD SAY "Horsefeathers" (it always makes me smile-& its hard to be mad & smile).
