In relation to the title you have given to the thread , how many times does the word "Catholic" occur in the article you are linking it to ?
We are allowed to post whether it says Catholic or not Colin. It is Easter and the majority in Mexico are Catholic.

They do but the Church discourages it. Just like that nasty St. Muerte.
I've noticed that Mexican and South American Catholicism is often very different and they mix old pagan rituals and beliefs with Catholicism.

Oh, I know. I'm just saying that this is common for them. We shouldn't judge Catholicism based on what they do. That would be like someone judging the LCMS based off the goddess worship, female clergy, homosexual unions, and indifference towards abortion found in the ELCA.

Yes , but there is nothing in the article saying that Catholics were doing it .
You seem to have a real issue with what others post. He posted the link. It is spurring discussion as most of Mexico is Catholic. It's a logical conclusion.

I know there is a real problem with selective Catholicism mixed with other things in Mexico. The Church has spoken out against it to no avail. But you are right. It's like judging Christianity by cruddy christians doing and saying stupid things.

Because burning effigies of Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and a Soccer Goalkeeper is what Easter is all about. Very biblical, and adhering to the early apostolic tenants of Christianity.

You're going to give that kind of power to these kinds of morons?
Their ridiculous behavior proves the Catholic religion is pagan?

No, it proves that people who are likely to be illegal immigrants in future are going to go to ridiculous lengths to condemn those who call them out.

I thought that as well. But I can tell you that there are people, other Christians that do observe these things and think Catholics are lost. This type of thread is a good opportunity to dispel the pagan myth.

From an outsiders pov that is what most think when they see something like this Colin.
I agree .

But all the more reason why on OBOB we should be fastidious about facts and accuracy , for they form the basis of truth .
