Ancient of Days?

Hi, I have a question for you because I love you guys, and respect this forum's regular posters wisdom. What does that name mean about God? The Ancient of Days?

Its from a worship song and I wondered where that phrase came from and its meaning. thank-you all.

Yep, good one! I think it's an awesome title! "Ancient of Days". Makes me think of an Eternal, Wise God.

7:9 “While I was watching,
thrones were set up,
and the Ancient of Days 24 took his seat.
His attire was white like snow;
the hair of his head was like lamb’s 25 wool.
His throne was ablaze with fire
and its wheels were all aflame. 26


24 Or “the Ancient One” (NAB, NRSV, NLT), although the traditional expression has been retained in the present translation because it is familiar to many readers. Cf. TEV “One who had been living for ever”; CEV “the Eternal God.”
