One of our grandsons (16) has just returned from a school trip to Berlin where they visited the Reichstag and a concentration camp among other things. I phoned him a few minutes ago to ask how it went. He said he would remember it all his life, especially the shocking concentration camp, where they were also shown a gas chamber.
I think it is good for the present generation, and those to come, to never forget the horror of the Holocaust. How anyone can deny it happened beggars belief.

Well, as we think about WWII, lets also remember the double-mindedness of the West.

HARRY S. TRUMAN: DECISIVE PRESIDENT

Whereas Roosevelt tended to be flex ible in coping with the Russians, Tru man held sterner views. “If we see that Germany is winning the war, we ought to help Russia; and if that Russia is winning, we ought to help Germany, and in that way let them kill as many as possible.. . ” he said as a Senator in 1941.

This double-mindedness persists to this day.

ISIS 'has more fighters in Iraq and Syria now than it did in 2014' | Daily Mail Online

ISIS has DOUBLE the number of soldiers across Iraq and Syria than it did when it swept through the region in 2014, Kurdish leader warns.

Amazing if you consider the militaries that are involved in fighting and 'fighting' ISIS.
