Isa 40:22 - It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Break down - "It is he that dwells on (over) the compass (entirety) of the Earth, and the inhabitants there are as tiny insects to God.

This scripture declares the lofty place of God, above the expanse of heaven. Taken as allegory, the power of God is so great, men have the power of tiny insects compared.

Break down - "God stretched out the heavens as a thin material, and spread them out as a protective enclosure for the inhabitants of the Earth to dwell in, even from the Beginning.

This scripture declares that God stretched out the heavens and made them thin, and spread them out over the Earth. Specifically, they were made to be protective (as a tent).

Taken as allegory, God is so awesome, loving, and full of mercy, He provided great protection for the inhabitants of the Earth, even since the beginning; the foundation of the world.

Taken even further, this beautiful analogy can be traced right back to Jesus Christ who is the one we are protected by, enfolded by, secured by. It's not a stretch to take from this that Jesus Christ is indeed our tent.
