Kansas math teacher resigns over CRT training and renewed mask mandates, gets fined

Then, the district implemented the Deep Equity critical race theory training for teachers. The district spent $400,000 on the training, which told teachers to "reject and resist any parents who disagree with" critical race theory, the Sentinel reported.

"It’s all critical race theory stuff," Enyart said. "That was kind of the start where I realized, they’re really trying to bring this in and make it something."

400k to call some teachers racist. They could have stayed home for that...

Teacher at posh NJ prep school quits over critical race theory

An English teacher has resigned from a top New Jersey prep school that is using critical race theory to create a “hostile culture of conformity and fear” — causing white and male students to believe they are “oppressors,” she said.

Dana Stangel-Plowe accused the Dwight-Englewood School in Bergen County of forcing students and faculty to embrace a single set of beliefs, choking off free speech in the process.

The school’s ideology requires students to see themselves not as individuals, but as representatives of a group, forcing them to adopt the status of privilege or victimhood,” Stangel-Plowe wrote in her letter to school brass.

Loudoun County teacher sobs as she quits during school board meeting to protest school's CRT lessons | Daily Mail Online

A Virginia teacher has dramatically resigned during a meeting of her scandal-hit school board after blasting its obsession with lessons on critical race theory.

Laura Morris spoke before Loudoun County School Board in an emotional address, explaining why the 'equity trainings' and political dogma forced her to resign.

In short, forced conformity towards racist beliefs and political indoctrination.

The argument over CRT was never, ever, about history ....but rather the racist left wing political indoctrination of students. It may seep into history lessons, but that isn't the point.

Thoughts?

If we were to accept everything the advocates of Critical Race Theory have to say, and it were proven categorically to be true, it still has no place in public schools.

I don't even see how they could prove their foundational claims....it's pure opinion based on some rather racist assumptions.

CRT openly attacks objectivity and favors "lived experience" which is exactly the same as subjective opinion.

This is why the indoctrinated say logically contradictory statements like "I'm speaking my truth".

The administration sets a curriculum and the teachers contract to teach it. They have probably disagreed with other changes over the years.

It also seems they are misinformed. We are not responsible for wrongs committed in the past. We can still love our country--and loving our country means wanting it to be its best self.

We who grew up in the Vietnam era know our country can make mistakes. LBJ, who escalated the Vietnam War, also passed Medicare and the Great Society and the Voting Rights Act. I see him as flawed but outstanding.

Almost every president save one has had greatness and made mistakes. We love America when we strive for greatness.

I'm sorry....why would you assume that they are misinformed?

They're the ones who have seen the curriculum after all....perhaps you're misinformed.

CRT is just another tool for progressives to teach our children how to hate America. Might as well have Mao Zedong as chairman of the teachers union.

We all hope that you do achieve greatness again. You're too big to fail. But I really could care less about hands on hearts and hugging the flag and slogans on hats for $14.95 (postage included). Just get on with it, for God's sake.

It's already there in many school districts, you don't get a say, you may have no right to keep your children out of those classes, and you are a racist if you even dare to say anything other than that you are a racist.

There are lots of reasons to home school, and this is the winner case. Lots of reasons to escape the government schools, and if you care how your children look at the world and at their neighbors it's time to blow the escape hatch now. There are Catholic or other Christian schools that MIGHT be better. Or not. Caveat emptor. (FOr those educated in public schools that is 'buyer beware'.)

Critical Race Theory is another example of "semantic overload".
(One expression that means multiple things, and changes depending on whether the proponents are in offense or defense mode)

The tactic that's used is to define it as "Just teaching unfiltered history, and teaching the negative history...even if it's uncomfortable". And then introduce content from "BLM in School" or "The 1619 project" (which have some wild and inaccurate assessments), and then when people rightfully object to the things included in the curriculum, the proponents of it revert to the originally stated definition, and accuse people rejecting it of "not wanting to teach unfiltered history".

America falls short in health care.

Western Europe, Canada and other countries put us to shame.

My vision of a "great America" is. I am sure, 100% opposite from Trump. It is built on justice and compassion.

Because I believe in the basic good of even the most misguided people, I believe America can get better and realize its potential.

They called this the "motte and bailey argument".

I call it flat out dishonest. These are the same people who whine about others not engaging in "good faith discussion". The same people who use BLM as a guise to raise money for black people....then spend it on Democrats running for election.

The main reason they push this garbage imo isn't there's an over abundance of people learning it in college....and it's worthless....unless you can convince people it's about something else (equity or inclusion) and have them pay you for a 400k seminar.

If you read up on the Frankfurt School’s “critical theory”, you know exactly what Critical Race Theory is. The theory is to criticize. Constant and continuous destructive criticism with the aim of destroying its target. You also find out that it is indeed is Marxist in origin, and just where the historical connection lies.

Am I the only one who noticed that the quote "reject and resist any parents who disagree with" is not only incomplete but is not referenced?

You can look up the essays written by the guy this "equity training" is based off of.

It's basically...

1. The things wrong with white people.
2. White people are evil because.
3. White people are oppressors and everyone else is oppressed.

That's the "Deep Equity" program.
