Here are a few alternatives to The Mandels Effect being true. WIld ones, but not quite as wild.

1) Space aliens are using us as lab rats.
a) Some of their experiments deal with implanting false memories.
b) Their technology is far from perfect and there are occasional glitches that result in false memories
c) Many of the lab techs are their version of college students and we all know how some kids that age like pulling pranks.

Note: This fits into teh claims of being abducted and probed in very personal ways as a false memorie. After all what could be more personal than having someone walk through your mind? Perhaps that gets 'remembered' as a physican violation.

2) The Matrix is realand we are in it.

3) 1984 is a mild version of how our leaders are controling us. They are not just playing with news reports, but actually implant the memories they want us to have.

4) None of us are real, our whole world is just a Butterfly's dream

5) The Twilight Zone episode where they are testing the responce of a pilot for the first Mars flight was all to close to the truth. Only one of us is real and they are in an isolation chamber and half way to going mad.

5A) Same thing with a bad acid trip.

It would mean that while your memories (all of them, for all people... except the exception, that somehow don't count, because reasons) are perfect.... NOTHING ELSE IS CONSISTENT!

Lol. He pretty much gives the right explanation while still insisting "Mandela Effect". We have 2 choices - a new version of Mandela Effect where both realities exist in the same reality (huh?), or we have multiple people who use the more common (but in this case incorrect) spelling of Penny because they don't know better.
