Changeable weather over here, Sue, so it's hard to plan anything. Still, I do find it far easier to keep warm than to keep cool on hot summer days.

Great news - same here - first blossoms on my wattle bush have appeared and kangaroo paw spikes are shooting up.

Just heard on the news tonight that New South Wales has a serious drought issue. I thought it was only the northern hemisphere which was suffering from lack of water at the moment.

Kangaroos impact on farming is reaching plague-like proportions as drought conditions push them to farms and other populated areas in search of food.

I love the picture but it must be so hard for farmers and animals alike in such conditions.

My guess is that autumn will be a welcome relief for some of you who have endured those scorching temps.

We saw a news article on tv about the kangaroo issue, creslaw. I hate to think how hot it may become over there in mid-summer. Not a fan of really hot weather myself.

Over the last month it has been cooler and wetter so hopefully the reservoirs are now getting full.
