I would love for this guy to come here and debate me on creationism ... my forte.
It would be a short one, I'm sure; but just about as entertaining as his card trick.
Of course it would because all you have is 'goddidit', how can you argue when you have no basis to argue from, some forte.
Saying that you have 'faith' and 'that's only your opinion' and answering a question with a question is not an argument.
All you have is a belief and nothing more, try arguing your case without referring to the bible and you will see just how little you have.
Think about this, if all the bibles in the world were destroyed your religion would die in a generation.

That is absolutely correct.

My approach to debating creationism is: GOD DID IT.

Three simple one-syllable words that any child can say.

Anything more than that is just inviting confusion.

However, if one wants to expand on that, then they can; so long as they stick to Genesis 1 and not allow the conversation to stray into side issues.

That's because questions will come up that only the Bible can answer ... not myopic science.

And telling us to set our Bibles aside will just make it harder on you as, according to our spiritual armor, our faith is our shield.

So if you want me to put the Sword up, fine.

I'll retreat behind my shield and just say: GOD DID IT.

But it doesn't prove your point. Even I can say GOD DID IT with a clear conscience and I think your interpretation of Genesis... Well, you know what I think of it.

My point will be made by the evolutionist I'm debating, as he will try everything he can to get the focus off of the Creation Week and on to fossils, sin, ERVs, ice cores, dendrochronology, and so forth.

He will also eventually display a disrespect for such terms as creatio ex nihilo, creatio ex materia, and miracles.

Good for you!

So can I!

On behalf of myself and our kindergarten class at church, you get an A.

Disrespectfully, I take it?

Well, if that guy wants to join CF and discuss creationism with me, I'll show you what I mean.

But if he just wants to sit and do card tricks at a table for YouTube, then his opinions can take a hike.

His name is Matt Dillahunty and he hosts the Atheist Experience, an Internet-only show out of Austin Texas, he was a Christian for 25 years and was studying to be a minister so he knows his Bible backwards.
You can phone them on 1-512-686-0279 during the show.
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheAtheistExperience

Apparently the show has been going for about 12 years now and it's not getting many smart callers because they know before they call they are going to get shot down.
Why don't you give them a call and put them straight? after all 'goddidit' is such a strong argument I expect they will all be blown away.

No, thanks.

I do my work right here on CF.

He says at 01:39 that apologists don't always stick to the subject of the debate.

LOL ... he needs to lurk here and see a discussion on creationism by those who want to bring up everything but creationism.

Saying 'goddidit' can hardly be called work.
I'm not gonna call some card shark and yak on his program.
Apparently card tricks are his hobby and shooting down religions is his job.

Do you mean away from old stories and back on to reality? you seem to be very afraid of reality, why is that? are you hoping that your stories will help you when you are dying?

Are you saying creationism is not bound up with religion?
Creationism needs to be taught in history class as fact; and doesn't belong in science class.

Yes, why?

Then why is creationism classed as a faith if you think it's a fact? surely facts are backed by evidence.
Yes, why?
I'm sure I can remember reading in a post that you said you were not a creationist.

Because creationism is a truth not supported by evidence; as my Apple Challenge demonstrates.

Not always.

Do you mean like Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism?
You might want to read it again though.
I never said that.
I went to find the post I read it in and all I could find was number counting posts, what's all that about? how many of your 3.5 million posts are real?

No.

See if you can spot the true religion:
  1. Love thine enemies.
  2. Convert Infidels, lest they need to die.
  3. There are no gods, and if you meet Buddha on the road, kill him.
  4. Shiva desires destruction.
