The existance of aliens causes tough theological questions to arise. Whether you believe in Creationism or theistic evolution, it seems likely that we are not the only one's of God's creation. There is no mention of aliens in the Bible, but this does not mean that they do not exist.

Few Christians outside of cults seriously consider aliens into their theology, but I do.

Questions to think about:
1)If intelligent aliens exist, do they have souls?
2) If so, are they "sinners?"
3) Can they enter heaven?
4) Would Jesus have had to have visited all of their planets and died for them there in order for them to be saved?
5)Would Jesus' death here have paid or their sins? (If so, be glad we are on the choosen planet!)
6) If the aliens have belief systems, what would they be like?

why bother pondering these questions when there is no hard evidence aliens from other planets exist?

There's no evidence in preterism yet people keep trying to prove it as well.

Bruno, of course they did, back when Jesus came and brought us a new painless, sorrowless, deathless earth... oh wait, that's right, HE HASN'T YET! :D

notMichaelJackson - You're not supposed to be posting in here, no atheists allowed... judging by a couple of the threads you start in the science forum like "Noah's ark couldn't have happened" you obviously are not a Christian.

Please read, "Out of the Silent Planet", by C. S. Lewis. It's a trilogy, but I found only book 1 worth reading. Three men invent an anti-gravity ship and go to Mars to exploit it. But they find remnants of an ancient civilization---Hrossa, philosophers, Seroni scientists, and Pfltrgi workers (doubt I spelled that last one correcty). They seem to be "un-fallen" civilization, though sometimes is born a "bent Hnau".

RE aliens, there are none. All of the "experiences" bear strikingly close similarities to spiritism and occultic themes, and those who have "close encounters" have a history of occultic dabbling. One book dictated by an ET spends 1/3 of the time denying the deity of Jesus Christ---does this sound like OTHER PLANET or BAD ANGEL?

For life as we know it to exist, there must be a stable biosphere---here, we are based on liquid water, which is extremely rare in the Universe. There are no other stable biospheres, with temperate climate, radiative shielding (think, "Van Allen Radiation Belts", magnetosphere, etc), mineral diversity, etc. Only fringes of spiral galaxies (most galaxies are diffuse) can even HOPE to sponsor stable biospheres, circular orbits, very specific sun---thousands of things must occur to maintain life. (Radiation will break chemical bonds and ruin life regardless of HOW it is based.)

I have never seen any "class--M-planets" (a Star Trek term), not in any of the galaxies I have visited...
