Alder Lake Chipsets Will Not Support PCIe Gen 5.0 | Tom's Hardware

This is old news in the computer market but I've been busy with lots of stuff going on lately. According to the Article Intel had "issues" with releasing 5.0, and 5.0 will come with Intels 13th generation. Alder lake processors will still support DDR 5 ram and keep most of its selling features but honestly, only supporting PCI-E 4.0 in the x4 slots? Not worth the upgrade imo unless DDR 5 ram is fast and SSD companies can come out with better PCI-E 4.0 drives.

Tldr: intel isn't supplying what it promised for its 12th gen processors. Not worth picking up unless we start seeing serious hardware changes after release.
