  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

How is it not a "regular vaccine"?

But every service member is forced to take vaccinations prior to basic training... I think there's like six of them that are mandatory from what I understand.

...And with regular vaccines, human DNA is altered because the virus enters the nucleus of cells, where the DNA is, and blends with it. With RNA vaccines, there is no contact at all with the DNA, because the code remains outside the nucleus of the cell, which means it never has a chance to become part of the genome... So regular vaccines are actually worse.

    watch (2:00)

But I agree nobody should be forced to take any vaccine.

England ( and next the EU) are noticing (as we all have noticed) that vaccines are still very good at preventing serious illness hospitalization and death - even with Delta - but with Delta they can no longer "prevent infection" and cannot prevent the spread of the virus. This means Delta is unstoppable in terms of its spread - its ability to reach everyone, its ability to "infect".

Everyone will eventually be infected by it. The UK has given up on "herd immunity" and is no longer testing to see if people are infected that do not show signs/symptoms. They have given up on the idea of stopping the spread. It has gone from pandemic - to - endemic.

So NOW "the choice" everyone faces is not about "WILL I be infected" but rather WHEN I get infected how do I want to engage in the battle with this virus? Do I want to face a down-sized virus part, or the full virus head on and unvaccinated? It boils down to those two choices once the virus gets to the endemic stage.

Not "if I am infected" but rather "when I am infected" - how do I want to first engage the virus? Full on virus or partial virus-part?

The person who says "I would gladly forfeit my career to be able to get infected with the full virus as my body's first go-around with it - rather than keep my job and allow my body to see a partial-virus as its first exposure" - is taking a big leap in logic. A high price for a small reward.

That may be happening, but the website isn’t a trustworthy news source. It’s supposedly a satire site, but it isn’t a very good one, if so. My guess is that it was started to trick people into posting false news stories so the posters would lose credibility.

Real Raw News is a fake news site. The front page also has stories about FEMA forcibly vaccinating people, the military arresting Hunter Biden, and Bill Gates undergoing a military tribunal.

That really depends on the meaning of "regular". (my question is still outstanding in post #3.)

Before we could manufacture custom nucleic acids or manipulate viral genes, vaccines were* created by taking the actual pathogenic virus and injecting it live, weakened, or dead into the patient, so that the immune system would react to the virus and begin to form lasting memory and defense against it. (As you might guess, a live virus injection sometimes causes the actual disease, so it is generally not the preferred method.) I believe there are vaccines of this type for COVID-19, but not available in the US.

The other vaccines use technologies that never put the full SARS-CoV-2 virus (alive or dead) into the body but rather have the immune system react to the spike proteins on the virus surface. One of these involves just injecting a bunch of spike proteins. (Not approved for US usage yet.) Another method uses a "vector" virus (typically a low-impact "cold" virus) and adds the gene for the spike protein to its genome, so that when it invades a cell the conquered cell also transcribes the gene into mRNA and then makes spike proteins. The J&J/Jansen vaccine is of this type. The last type involves injecting the mRNA directly which then makes the spike proteins after cells take it in. (mRNA has a very short lifetime in the cell and your cells that need to continuously make a specific protein, also need to continuously transcribe DNA to mRNA to keep that process going.)

    * Ironically (perhaps), the very first vaccine was made for small pox by exposing people to a related disease in cows called (wait for it...) cow pox. Even the name vaccine comes from the latin term for dairy cattle -- vacca.

Supposedly there was recently a long line of Airmen (of all ranks I imagine) seen dressed in their blues outside the wing commander’s office at the local Air Force base awaiting their other-than-honorable discharge for refusing the shot. They are supposedly told they can qualify for honorable discharge in a year but the odds of that don’t seem good given few are allowed to elevate their military discharge status.

As an Air Force veteran, I find this business disgusting. Jobs are harder to find if one does not have an honorable military discharge. It’s common knowledge anything other than an honorable discharge may not be marked “dishonorable” automatically in word but it kind of is anyway from an employers’ view I understand.

These shots are not all that even if you consider them safe, which I don’t, but still, why ruin consciousness servicemen over this if government intentions are truly above board and dare I say “honorable?” The mandates themselves are shady but ruining healthy, productive, tax-paying, patriotic Americans? I admire their courage in not going along with the crowd. It can’t be easy.

Government isn't ruining these folks. Persons choosing to give up careers are making a choice. Choices have consequences. This isn't the first vaccination USAF has ever required and anyone who has ever served knows that.

My husband and I have known at least two who got out because of refusal to submit to anthrax shots. No way were they forced before the wing king in a humiliting public display of force. Something is very off here. This stuff should be kept at the squadron commander level at most not elevated to the base commander for a start.

The COVID virus is less safe than the vaccines. One church lost six members to COVID. After this they set up a vaccination clinic in their church. Other churches asked for proof of vaccination for attendance:

Military reenlistments were also down during times of armed conflict. The 20 year retirement option kept some going hoping to reach their goal.

No, it’s common sense to protect the life of the military.
