I don't remember ever getting spanked. I remember getting a swat on the behind once, but I was pretty little. Usually it was my brothers getting in trouble, I was a pretty good kid.

I'm going to say middle school. But to tell you the truth I barely even have two memories of being spanked and have no clue of when they happened. So I'm going to say I was middle school age. Definitely wasn't in high school, during that time was the "you're grounded" stage.

No, I graduated a few years ago, but I sure had to read a lot of studies on it since my area of study was developmental child psychology.

lol. exactly! now that you mention that, she totally does smack me...just not as bad as before and definitely more rarely. it's more playful nowadays.

I don't remember ever getting spanked. My parents weren't anti spanking, but it wasn't the ultimate form of punishment- they did other things to correct behavior. I'd say maybe 1st grade is the last time I was spanked maybe, but I don't remember it.

I honestly don't remember. My guess would be middle school. The last physical altercation with one of my parents I can remember was in high school - where my dad gave me a hiding - not a spanking - and one which I deserved.

if a parent chooses that particular form of punishment, think it should stop well before highschool. at that point, they are young adults and they need to be treated like it.
