Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for U.S. attorney general, assured senators that she will not target pro-life activists if confirmed, amid accusations that the Biden administration regularly engaged in such practices.

During her Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing on Wednesday, Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., asked Bondi about the purported targeting of pro-life activists by the Biden administration.

Hawley talked about the “weaponization” of the U.S. Department of Justice, alleging that the Biden administration “has carried out an unprecedented attack and campaign against people of faith.”

SMH. They aren't the ones in danger. It's our heroes on the front lines of the fight for democracy who are threatened.
Trust Republicans to pick some minimalist wedge issue.
I expect Fox to lead with: Bondi won't weaponize DOJ! as, to please her boss, she plans charges against pro-democracy heroes.

Reading the articles Michie provided, I saw they formed a blockade. They were asked to leave. They didn't.
Basically, they wanted to be arrested. They were told they could demonstrate but not physically prevent people from entering the building.
Let's draw an analogy. Anti-vaxxers, spurred by RFK, Jr., try to prevent babies from getting vaccines because of their beliefs. They can picket and make things unpleasant, but they can't block access.
I understand they feel it's a matter of conscience, but laws are laws.
I think that type of protest is ineffective. And in whining about how unfair it is afterwards, they lose their moral.high ground. If their cause compels them to break laws, they should face the consequences.
The pro-democracy heroes, on the other hand, were fighting crime and lawlessness at the highest levels of our government and refused preemptive pardons because they broke no laws.

Good!

So-called sanctuary cities are immoral. They prevent the local police from contacting
ICE when they arrest an illegal immigrant with a criminal record, thereby putting
the communities where they dwell in danger.
