I personally don't believe inbreeding (a kind word for incest) was involved. The Bible does not describe how God propagated the human species, but it is a fact that it originally takes X number of people to arrive at the population we have today from the time the first humans were believed to exist. It is for this reason I believe God created many humans to propagate the species, not all of them born of women but simply created. Adam was described as a "golem", because he was not born of a woman. See http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?artid=334&letter=G section "Adam as Golem". Golem also was a word to describe anything incomplete.

I'd have thought that the Flood would be a better starting point for this topic. There's no biblical reason to believe anyone else survived the flood, so we would all be descend from the handful of people on the Ark. Not only that, but all animals would be in the same situation.

If mutations accumulate quickly enough for all the millions of species to form in only a few thousands of years, then by Noah's time, nobody could have had perfect DNA.
The flood would have been a good place to start. Noah's ark has been found on Mt. Ararat. I have a documentary on this shown on television. Complete with satellite images and many eyewitness accounts from people around the world that were able to scale the mountain and lived to tell the tale. Many died trying. All of the eyewitnesses described the ark exactly the same. The documentary even names a U.S. Senator that saw the ark while flying overhead during a diplomatic trip.

Problem is, Mt. Ararat is completely covered in snow 6 out of 7 years. Only once in 7 years may the snow be low enough for people to see the ark (if they're lucky). Even then, it's still quite dangerous for hikers. Mt. Ararat is in Turkey, which is a highly restricted area.

When I enrolled in a Meteorology class at my university in the 90's, the professor taught about large boulders found on mountaintops that had no reason being there. Scientist discovered that its origin was over 400 miles away from another mountain top. The only way that could have happened is if it floated atop an iceberg and eventually came to settle on another mountain top. The scientist referred to these as "Noah's Rocks", because such an occurrence could only happen if there was a world wide flood that covered the earth and every mountain top like the Bible said. My professor wasn't even a Christian.
