  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sorry do not mean to offend you. But the Ape thing they try to pass off has got to be the funniest thing I have ever heard. Look at your self, do you really think you came from a monkey. Go look at monkey sometime, and you'll see what I mean. Where are all there missing links, why is the monkey not getting any smarter, why are we a thousands times more smarter then the monkey. Monkey really do not no right or wrong, like a human does. You do no they will use the monkey, but where did the monkey come from, well next they will say out of a swamp, so now we are some kind of a bug. Talk about telling people dumb things. And they call us dumb.

I did't say that...but those scientist says that human envolve(spell wrong) from apes, and the bibble says that the first human on Earth were Adam and Eve...so could they be apes?
Actually they say we evolved from chemicals and that over time the chemicals formed into micro-organisms and these organisms came more complex, then ape-like creatures.

But ther are many missing links, and according to Darwin, there would be lots of fossils to show the transitions that I described.

Intially, there was not enought time allowed for evolution, b/c of the complex transitions (only 5 billion years), now they say that it happens is spurts, but there is no proof of that.

Evolution can not be tested scientifully, b/c it was occurs over time, it can be repeated again and again--according to the scientific method. It could be proven through the historical method (as with fossils, but there are missing links)

Being open minded to the truth - yes, but learning to discern the truth and filter it from half truths and outright lies takes wisdom not only from life, but from God. This wisdom from God comes from seeking and prayer - humbling oneself to Him. It is treasure to be desired.

Proverbs 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

hahahahah of course you should be open-minded. but not too open-minded that you start making your own linkage and create things out of your own.

You should rephrase your question in a better way.

There's this technical difficulty about "Open-mindedness". For it seems to imply that one believes ANYTHING as long as it SEEMS right. And if you look around you, EVERYTHING seems right. Then again the open-minded person who is not gullible is wiser. But then this leads to the other.

There's this technical difficulty about "Close-mindedness". For it seems to imply that one is arrogant and stubborn. One believes in Something until the foundation of that Something is utterly shaken and brought down to the ground. Then they change their minds. But someone to be so sure about their beliefs requires faith (confidence) that they are right, but to be proven wrong is some painful experience. No one likes to be proven wrong.

Now since i like science, and it fascinates me, i once was open-minded to the Ape theory. Where it is stated that all life comes from single celled organisms emerging out of the waters. But then something occured to me. Are all races seperate single celled organisms or are we all from One single celled organism?

The Ape theory is to disprove that we come from One thing whether it is Adam or a bacteria.

If we all are seperate organisms. you come from a seperate development of some organism while i come from another, meaning about maybe 12 organisms (assuming there are that amount of races) evolved at the same time, and some how were compatable? Then this would mean that there were more than one Man and Christianity becomes meaningless, since salvation is ONLY for those who come from Adam's blood. and since the Bible states that ALL sin came from Adam then the atonement is only for those who come from him. What about those humans who do not come from adam?

What if ADAMS descendants mingled with the "other" mankind. Then we are back to square one where all of mankind at this moment are related to adam in some way and the theory about seperate single celled organisms becomes obsolete and pointless to study if one seeks some kind of apparent truth against the bible.

Ok then another thing occured. I used to think that This modern world is the most intelligent race. Then i was looking at Mathamatical theories, Without COMPUTERS look what OUR PAST achieved! And look at us now! We can't even take a stroll in the park without a car or even a PERSONAL JET!

Almost all our KNOWLEDGE COMES FROM the so called "cavemen"

History has mankind growing in wisdom but in reality they were extremely wiser than us.

Something to think about.

In other words wisdom existed in the beginning, the only thing Mankind grows in is the KNowledge of evil... as for good, some can call it "recollection" and therefore we are growing in that, in the sense of "relearning" it.

So i like to keep things simple. Adam and Eve were the only humans. Made directly from God. uncorrupted genes made it possible for children to marry and have healthy babies. What corrupted our genes later on? Maybe it was the Tree of Good and Evil, its fruits decayed the genes, while the Tree of Life has fruits that repair the genes. Or may be it was the seperation from God's direct influence of His ever-healing presence, being deprived of our Sustainer of all that is perfect was what made us decay and grow old.

But what about Aliens? Could they be the reason for such wise ancestors? See, since i was christian, the thought never crossed my mind. But for those who don't believe in God tend to incline to this belief. I don't believe in aliens simply because it makes me realise the physicality of demons even more.

And therefore, i am not going to assume that Physical aliens exist. Simply that where Spiritual things happen, those who do not believe in spirits label unexplainable effects to them.

Clearly you do not understand evolution. Apes have not got cleverer noticeably because it takes thousands of years for such an evolutionary change. I support the theory of evolution, it makes more sense to me than any Christian theory about the world and how humans came into being.

Actually, it is riddled with flaws and 15 billion years is not long enough. There are 100k genes in the humuan body that had to be placed in a specic order

To find the odds of that take 100,000 on your calcultor and do the factorial to find all the possible permutations, only 1 of these is right.

100,000!

The number is so huge, that most calculators can't do it.

Yes I under stand it very well, that is why I do not believe it. This earth has been around a very long time, but we humans have not. Its goes back to space and times again, God does not live in Time, as we know it, earth is on a time line, God is not. I believe that came out in the news a few years ago, that they proved that (ALL) humans came from one DNA, that would be ( Adam ) Eve was taken from Adam, she would have the same.

Yes, that's right. The mitochondial DNA showed that we are from a common female ancestor. I hadn't thought that it would be Adam's DNA also - how cool!

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

lol is that clear enough?

Okay I thought hey maybe I might strike a few flames and share my ideas on evolution. First off, I'm very much into my faith. I believe in God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the Bible 100%. But I'm also very much into science *although faith does come first* and I'm planning to become a biology teacher, so I thought I better understand this evolution thing and make sure I get it clear, at least to myself, so that it doesn't interrupt my faith in God.

Here's a summary of what I believe:
Evolution does happen and has been happening since God handed the earth over to Adam. God did create all the creatures, lands, water, sky, and humans as we see them today. But God also gave Adam power over the animals, so evolution can be supported. All animals that were ever created were made by the time God handed them over to Adam and Eve. Then Adam sins and loses the power over the animals...now because of this, animals can start to change or evolve. Some creatures end up dieing out because of whatever reasons *mostly pollution or some other fault due to humans* but the stronger versions survive...adaptation. And because we haven't been studying evolution long enough, we really don't know how long it takes, so it could actually happen like I've said.

Also, once Jesus comes back to earth after the Tribulation, I believe all animals as they once were and as we see them today and in-between will be on earth living with us.

But yes this is all just my idea and it's not to start a debate. I just wanted to share it so you can understand why I don't feel like Adam and Eve were apes. There may be similar genetics between creatures, but I believe that's so because God make these animals with good characteristics that worked in nature, so He tended to repeat them.

Anyway, God bless. Love, Tanya

PS Also I believe that everything God really wanted us to worry about is in the Bible and everything He wanted us to know about Him...it's in the Bible and through Jesus Christ. AMEN!
