Don't let this offend you. We know because of increase lawlessness that the love of many will grow cold, but you need to fight against this deadening of soul. There will be those who will accept homosexuality just like there were "Christians" who offered incense to pagan gods. I would say that the Orthodox church is one of the main reasons that the mentality that has attacked the west is not in a large part of eastern Europe. Study the Saints on this subject, they are unanimous in condemning it. I would wonder what cannon law has to say about this as well.

What does Yahweh and Yeshua Messiah Say ?

It seems that it is truthfully clear in the Bible, but most people never even read it, let alone believe it.

Don't let it deaden a part of you - you have a still active, living conscience: listen to YHWH, obey Him, choose with your choice to serve Him, and live.

Is thievery complicated? Is adultery complicated? Is Leukemia or MS or a headache complicated?
YHWH simply says repent, turn to YHWH, seek His Kingdom, right ?

This is not helpful to someone who is hurting, ysl.

We understand that it is a sin to engage in such acts, that it is a cross to bear to be afflicted with such a tendency. To understand the root cause helps us learn to overcome the passions. We don't simply say "don't" without helping the person. Conflating different kinds of sin with physical illness is also not helpful. I'm not sure what you mean to imply by that, but we address each of these in more depth, and appropriately to the cause.

Does Yahweh in His Word ever say sin is a physical illness ?
Or does Yahweh in His Word say it is a choice of man's will, or demons controlling their will/choice ?

We (Christians) all agree I think: The men sent by Yahweh, in both the old and the new Testaments,
always said "Turn to Yahweh" - Repent of your life apart from Him - choose who you will serve, Yahweh or the other
or is this taught some different way in some places ?

    And also don't we all agree that the healing, the deliverence, and salvation at that moment, is/ was/ could be a free gift from Yahweh through Yeshua ;
not accomplished by man, nor by man's ways ?

Is your habitual debating in a subforum where the site rules forbid it by your choice or are you being controlled by demons?

Ysl, if you have questions, by all means ask. I'm happy to discuss it with you. If you are looking to debate or argue against what we know, please don't.

What we have been taught about healing the soul from the sickness of sin has come down through many centuries, taught by the Apostles and worked out in the lives of many Saints. We know that it comes from God and that it works. So arguments on a forum aren't going to change anyone's mind. I doubt you even know what you are protesting against - I don't think you've taken time to learn it. I appreciate your concern, but it is uninformed where our teaching is concerned.

    God be with you.

    Forgive me.

Yes, actually Scripture uses the same word for what we have translated variously as "save" from sin and "heal" from sickness.

However, we choose whether or not to cooperate with the grace of God, and turn from sin, and be made more like Christ and be empowered to further resist sin .... or else we choose to give in to temptation and weaken ourselves.

Salvation is a free gift, but it is accomplished in cooperation with the grace of the Holy Spirit - not against our will, nor are we to be passive.

Great - so for someone / anyone to be healed (of sin or of any illness?) through Jesus, they repent of their sin and are healed, right ? Like when Jesus forgave sins or healed someone with a word (I guess or it is written or expected that they repented) ?
Was this accomplished in Scripture any other way ?

what about the man born blind in John's Gospel? the Scripture makes it pretty clear he was not blind from his sins or his parents' sins, and there was no repentance in his healing for sin commanded by Christ.

Again this is 'easily' answered :
Explanation of Scripture read by Orthodox Christians - The healing of the paralytic
"Our passions are like blindness or paralysis, because they impair our ability to live a righteous life, and cause us to miss the knowledge of God, as a blind man cannot see and a paralyzed man cannot go where he wants. This connection between the passions and sin and physical afflictions is well known in the mind of the church. This is not to say that sin always CAUSES physical afflictions. This is possible, however, in every case, afflictions are a reminder of our primary affliction and need for God.

Our Lord makes the connection between sin and afflictions repeatedly. In many cases, He forgave a man's sins before he healed him of his physical infirmity, to affect a complete healing and regeneration of the man. In other cases, he healed someone of their physical infirmity first, then later enlightened them concerning Himself (such as in the case of the man born without eyes), or reminded them about sin, which is their major affliction."
    -----
""{1} And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. ... {6} ... He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, {7} And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. ...{35} Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? {36} He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? {37} And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. {38} And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. (John 9:1-38, parts)"

this does not deal with the topic. you asked if Christ in Scripture healed anyone apart from the forgiveness of sins. the answer is yes, He did. the man born blind was not blind due to sin, and therefore his healing was not because of his sinfulness. now, he obviously had other sins and was probably made aware of them when Christ revealed Who He is, but that was not tied to his blindness.

I see the others already answered. But as they said, there is not an exact correspondence. The two are related, often interconnected, but sometimes one is not the direct and particular cause of the other.

Remember too the paralytic lowered through the roof. Nothin is said of repentance, but his friends brought him to Jesus to be healed (physically) and Jesus said to him "your sins are forgiven" rise up and walk.

But people can become sick not because they have sinned.

However, sin in a sense is the cause of ALL sickness, in that sin caused the fall of creation, and sickness is one result.

I may or may not have time to reply further until Monday. I'm going to be busy with Church for the next three days. Very wonderful time - I pray it may be blessed!

    God be with you!
