So I’m here now in the waiting room...The just took Kate off to the OR. We prayed before the icon wall today, sang the troparion of the day, and I anointed her with some St. John of Shanghai oil.

Kate came out of the surgery and everything was VERY successful!! With the new robotic techniques, she only lost 1 tablespoon of blood! She is in pain, but is getting “the good stuff” to keep it at bay. I just left her room. She’s going to sleep now. So am I!!

By the way...

Kate comes out of surgery looking all puffy, exhausted, groggy....first thing she says to me in those hoarse voice barely audible....

“Could you plug in my keyboard so I can work on a nurse informatics paper for my Masters class? It’s due tomorrow....”‍ Kate is working on becoming a Nurse Practitioner....

Can’t accuse my wife of a lack of industry or hard work!
