Do I have to forgive people no matter what they do to me?
Or, how much they hurt me?
Or, if they continue to hurt me daily?
YES, I have to forgive the same way that God has forgiven me my sins.
God forgive me no matter what I have done:
Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Jesus forgive those who crucified Him
Luke 23:34
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
We need to forgive those who help us to crucify our own flesh God allow people to hurt us in order for us to learn how to react according to the word of God and NOT by our own emotions. Many years ago a certain pastor telling lies about me and this cause my marriage to fall apart. I felt at that time to go to the news papers and expose this pastor but God spoke to me through Isaiah 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. After a time I realize that God allowed this person to speak badly of me because through this incident I left my home and move in a place for destitute people.
When someone is under pressure you will see what is inside of that person and with me it was pride. Oh, I was so proud, too proud to see my own mistakes and failures. In short, God created a new man for me and I went home after one year to restore my relationship with my husband. I forgave this pastor all he did against me because I had the knowledge about die to self.
How many times do I have to forgive my brother?
Matthew 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Yes, we have to forgive again and again. Forgiveness is a favor we do to ourselves. I say so, because forgiveness is the very first step to get healed. I will continue my life walking in peace and its easy now for I have named my one foot love and the other one forgiveness. Now I cannot walk in forgiveness or love alone because I wont move forward. I need both feet to walk.
Again I prayed Father in the Name of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit I forgive and set free anyone who hurt, harm or abused me. I bind any words that I have spoken against these people and I ask You Father to bless them. Bless them with happiness, peace and love in You. May only good things manifest in their lives and their familys. I ask that You saturate them in Your love and glory - Amen
