My local Housing Manager, has decided that I will not
despite the years that I have lived-here in this house, both with Mary
and, the almost 13 months (since, her-'passing')
SUCCEED to this property.... I WILL HAVE-TO be 'downsized'
and so,
he is asserting (wrongfully) that I have no legal entitlement
when; in-fact I do indeed, satisfy (fulfil)
~every-single requirement, to that 'end'

ie:

(a) provide PROOF of the date, of my first entering the property
(b) continuous (proven) occupation as a 'partner' of ~the 'secure' tenant
(c) continuous (unbroken) occupation, since the death of 'the secure tenant'

They (Salix Housing) are not 'EVICTING' ME
but intend to rehouse-me in smaller premises....~which, I do agree with

However, I feel, they should ACCEPT my 'succession' FIRST!!
and move to downsize-me, on the grounds of 'under-occupation'
instead of, their denial
re: my succession, being a lawful-outcome, of my residence here

[Reminder] that the Petition (signed-by EVERY neighbour)
is still-available, for support, in that regard

SSAFA, the veterans charity, is on-hand, to assist
me, in whatever-way, they, may be needed (legal, financial and practical)

The three remaining Budgerigars, have been rehomed to a Pet Rescue.... (early this-morning) the SSAFA visitor, arranged-this, for-me

Having cats (here) severely limits their ability to fly free
and they have to a large-extent lost, their ability to even fly....
having been confined to their cages, since, the arrival of the cats
Now, they will be kept in a large indoor aviary

I am, about to enter hospital, within the next seven days
for repair of, my 'broken-down' (left) inguineal hernia repair
Denis, Mary's youngest son, will stay here while I 'overnight' at the hospital, (AFTER that procedure)

To be continued................

It's good to hear from you Dave, and to be updated on your news. :) What a pity that you have to move, but I'm praying that your new abode will be a good one. :prayer: (Presumably you will have time to recover from your operation first.) It must have been hard to let go of the budgies, but at least now they will be able to fly around. Praise God that you have SSAFA's help and also Denis's.

I know it's been a tough time for you bro'. Let's hope and pray that good days are around the corner. In the meantime prayers for your op. and recovery, and for your move to the right accommodation at the right time. :groupray:

I do hope everything goes well for you. I've only recently been back on CF and hadn't realise you had lost Mary :(. I hope when you move that it will be somewhere ideally suited to you. It's such a worry having to sort all of this stuff out.

So, my wound is into it's third-week, of healing

I can already, sit up from laying and stand up, from sitting
without, doing-so 'defensively'
I do still have some awkward 'pulling' while bending and crouching
I was not, given antibiotics or pain killers \o/

I do, so-empathise, with ladies that have undergone caesarian sections
I will post photos, video below shortly¬

So, I had to 'part with' the car back at the end of August 2016
when, while undergoing it's annual road safety exam [mandatory]
some necessary maintenance, was required
~to obtain the certificate
The garage wanted £250 to get the mechanics back up and running (to a legal standard) and, well, I just don't have that kind of money laying-around.... now that Mary is no-longer here to share the 'costs'
and so, I have said goodbye to it

Oh , that's a shame, it's a nuisance if one hasn't a car, or for whaever reason one is unable to drive anymore. We have one, but only because my husband is on Higher Rate Disability, otherwise it would be cycling or shanks's pony for me LOL. Always cycled before anyhow, especially when haven't had a car. I'm too young still to get a bus pass now that they have put the age up.

My Dad, who's 90, had to give up his car last summer as his eyesight got too bad to be legal, but he misses it so much. He lives in the middle of the city and can't stand it...he grew up in the country. Always wanted to move out, but all sorts of things prevented it, like my mother falling into ill-health and needed to be near a hospital.
He's thinking of getting a mobility scooter, but luckily some of my brothers and sisters have taken him places and on holiday, and also to stay in their houses in Kent, Stratford-on-Avon, Taunton, Cornwall and Germany..for weeks on end sometimes. Which is good, because the pollution where he lives is awful, one of the worst in the country I think. We live more in the suburbs of the same city, so it wouldn't be much holiday for him to stay with us...not that we have room and it's rented. His wife, my Mum, died nearly 4 years ago, but until she got ill, they went all over the place, also used to do sea-fishing a lot, so he can't do that stuff now and of course he misses my Mum..but is lucky in that he has 6 kids, (one is a step-son)
