Matthew 24:15-22 ESV

“So, when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.”

What is this “holy place”? It is not in physical Jerusalem, which is of Hagar, the slave woman (see Gal. 4). It is the bride of Christ, his followers, his body, the temple of God, the Holy City, the Jerusalem from above, not of this earth. We need to understand that to interpret this correctly.

And, what is an abomination? It is a disgrace, outrage, atrocity, and/or revulsion. And, what disgrace, atrocity and/or revulsion now exists within the church? For one, it is that the church unequally yoked together with the ungodly in an unholy union, at least here in America, to market the church to the world just like any other worldly business.

Secondly, it is that the church – the holy place – altered and distorted the gospel of Jesus Christ to make it more palatable to the world and to the flesh of humans. Thus, they removed the offense of the cross to not offend the flesh of man. That is an abomination to the Lord!

And, why is the abomination of desolation? Because God must judge his adulterous, idolatrous, and wicked church to bring her to revival and back into a faithful and holy union with him as her only God (Rev 2-3). And, with that judgment will come desolation (misery, isolation, & destruction). Sounds like what is happening today, doesn’t it?

And, what does it mean to flee this abomination? I believe it means for us, the bride of Christ, to have no part in this abomination, to not partner with it, which is to not partner with the institutional church which is in this unholy union with the world, and which is marketing the church and the gospel to the flesh of man (2 Co. 6:14-18; Rom. 12:1-2; Jn. 15:19; Rev. 18:1-5).

For the Elect

And, notice with me next what is stated about this time of tribulation to come upon the earth. It is for the sake of the elect that the days will be cut short. And, who are the elect? They are those of us who are followers of Jesus Christ, who have died and are dying with him daily to sin and to self, and who are living to him and to his righteousness in the power of God.

The Scriptures give every indication that the saints of God, who are Jesus followers, will still be here during the time of tribulation on this earth. For, if you read the Scriptures regarding the last days in context of the Messianic age, then you must realize that only those who believe in Jesus Christ are Israel. So, we are Israel in these last days, not unbelieving Jews who are antichrist and who don’t believe in the God of their ancestors.

(Rom. 9:6-8; Gal. 3:10, 16, 26-29; Gal. 4:22-31; Eph. 2:14-18; 1 Jn. 2:22)

And, during this time of tribulation, which is near us, I believe, we are going to be persecuted severely for our walks of faith with Jesus Christ and for our testimonies for him and for his gospel.

And, I believe this persecution of Christians is close to happening here in America. All the signs are there that all this stuff that is going on now is headed toward the persecution of Jesus’ followers - his witnesses, servants and messengers who are sharing the true gospel of our salvation.

For, they are trying to prove that our nation is broken, that our government is broken, and that our nation is full of hate, anarchy, rebellion, and division, and that we need help. And, so, they will have a “savior” planned for us who will bring us a message of peace and solidarity, which will mean compromise of our faith to be one with the world.

But we must see this for what it is, and we must flee from it, and not be taken captive by it. But we must stand strong on the truth of God’s word, and keep sharing the gospel of our salvation, no matter what persecution comes at us. And, we must never compromise with the world to bring a false peace to the world, which is really no peace at all but tyranny and oppression and forced unity, and compromise, and rejection of truth.

Matthew 24:29-31 ESV

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

And, we must hold fast to our hope in Jesus Christ, in his salvation, in his gospel of deliverance from slavery to sin, and in his promise that what awaits us will be worth it all. For, one glorious day our Lord Jesus is going to return for us, and he is going to take us home to be with him forever. And evil, pain, sorrow and crying will be no more, but only rejoicing!

Join in Exultation
Acapella Hymn

Lyrics by: James Rowe (1914),
Music by: Samuel W. Beazley (1914)

People join in exultation, voices raise;
Let ev’ry people, tribe, and nation sing God’s praise.
Make all the hills and vales today with music ring;
Let voices soar with joy, more and more, extol the eternal King

He has brought us full salvation, sing, friends, sing;
Fill earth and sky with jubilation, praise the King.
Oh, worthy of our praise is he forevermore;
His love proclaim, give praise to his name, ‘till all shall our God adore.

We shall reach the home supernal by his grace,
And, gathered round the throne eternal, see his face;
Then let us give our hearts’ best praise— adoring, sing;
With heart and voice proclaim him our choice, our great and eternal King.

Sing, tribes and nations, wake the vales and the hills with song:
Extol the Saviour, unto whom praises glad belong,
‘Till earth and heaven shall with glad hallelujahs ring;
Let voices soar with joy, more and more, extol our eternal King.

JESUS was speaking exactly of the city of Jerusalem, and He named yes Jerusalem as of Holy City , the City where He lived and preached the Gospel of God's Kingdom. The city of Jerusalem of today is the same of JESUS's time, where are the tombs of the prophets, of the kings of Israel, of the apostles, including the tomb where the body of JESUS was placed. JESUS said: Swear not at all neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is His footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the City of the great King.

Revelation 11:v.1-3and 6
1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
6 ...and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

These things will fulfil LITERALLY from now on, or in ear days that will come.

For one, it is that the church unequally yoked together with the ungodly in an unholy union, at least here in America, to market the church to the world just like any other worldly business.

It is the LITERAL fulfilment of what JESUS said: Mat.24:v.10-12NIV - 10 At that time (end time) many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold;

And JESUS said also:
verses 13-14
13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (The beginning of the END is now, from now on, day after day)

Paul Apostle prophesied, saying:1Tim.4:v.1-2NIV
- The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith (apostasy/apostates) and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 2Tim.4:v.3-5 - 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
2Thes.2:v.3-4&9NIV
3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing.

The Abomination of Desolation will start in the second half of the last week, a s soon as the FIRST half of the week ends, and it and will endure 1290 days. JESUS prophesied, saying:
Mat.24:v.21-25:
21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.
24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

~ "For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, ‘It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.’ In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring." ~ Romans 9:6b-8

~ “His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility... For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.” ~ Eph. 2:14-18

~ “For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law… The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," MEANING ONE PERSON, who is Christ.” ~ Gal. 3:10, 16

~ “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” ~ Gal. 3:26-29

~ “For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise. These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother…

“Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. IT IS THE SAME NOW. But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.” ~ Gal. 4:22-31

~ "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” ~ Matt. 12:30

~ “Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.” ~ 1 Jn. 2:22

I have given you some passages of Scripture which tell of Jerusalem, Israel and the Jews today who do not believe in Jesus Christ. Jerusalem is of Hagar, because she is still in slavery with her children. She is paralleled to the Arab nations. She is no different. There is no longer Jew and Gentile. Jesus made them one in Christ. Those who don't believe in Jesus are all the same no matter if they are Jew or Arab or Gentile by birth.

We who believe in Jesus Christ are the children of promise, the children of Abraham and the children of God. We are Israel. There is no other Israel of God other than believers in Jesus Christ. The physical nation of Israel is not of God. Those who deny Jesus Christ as their Messiah are the antichrist. They are the persecutors of Christians, who are God's only people. They are of the nations who will trample us, the holy city, in these last days. This is a war against Christians. We are the persecuted ones, not the Jews.

When Jesus spoke these words recorded for us in Matthew, Jerusalem was the Holy City, because that was before Jesus died, rose again, ascended to heaven, and sent his Holy Spirit to indwell his followers. Now we are God's temple, his body, the Holy City, the Holy of Holies where God's Spirit dwells. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. We are the only ones Satan is against. And, in the tribulation period Satan is all out against Christians, the saints of God, the elect, for whom that time will be cut short.

Since we are God's temple, and we are Jerusalem, the Holy City, all must be interpreted in that light regarding the last days and the time of tribulation. The measuring of the temple, which is spiritual, not physical, is a spiritual measurement, not a physical one. And, the Jews, who are our persecutors (Gal. 4), i.e. the ones who do not believe in Jesus as their Messiah, will be among those who are trampling us, the Holy City, the temple of God.

So, please read those Scriptures prayerfully, seeking God's face, and understand that all must be interpreted in light of where we are now, since Jesus died on the cross, rose again, ascended into heaven and sent his Holy Spirit to indwell us, his followers. We are the only temple of God, the only Holy City, the only Jerusalem of God from above, we are the only Israel of God, of the seed of Abraham, because the promise was given to Abraham and to his seed, namely Jesus Christ.

Jerusalem is of Hagar, the slave woman.

Yes, JESUS was born in the time of Israel carnal, and "Jerusalem was of Hagar, the slave woman", and this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, which was and is yet in bondage with her children. But remember: When Moses saw the angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush on Mount Sinai, and he tried to draw near to behold it, the angel of the LORD said unto Moses: Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is Holy Ground.
JESUS called Jerusalem of holy place because was written that it was the God's Holy Place since ancient time. Exodus 3:v.5
What prevails is the Word of God, not mine own words, I can not invent theories or doctrines which contradict Scriptures.

In my understand you need to update your Bible knowledge, you are walking and looking behind you around 2000 years ago, not in the present time.

Remember that around 65 years after His ascention, our LORD Jesus was already sat at the right hand of the Father, and He received the sealed book from the Father to open the seven seals
(Rev.1:v.1), and JESUS reveals now, even now, in Revelation, that the old holy place called Jerusalem, the carnal and physical Jerusalem, today it is the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also He was crucified.

The temple of God is the church.

Yes, it is written: 1Cor.3:v.16-19: 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Paul Apostle said: 1Cor.12:v.27-28 - 27
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

In other words, John did write: John 1:v.11-14

11 JESUS came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: -JESUS-
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We are the Holy City of God.

We are the temple of God, not the Holy City.

It is written that the Holy Jerusalem, that great city, descends out of heaven from God having the glory of God, and it has a wall great and high, and has twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. But the high wall of the Holy City of Jerusalem has twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

We will be trampled on.

What is written is that the court which is without the temple will be given unto the Gentiles, and the Holy City will be tread under foot forty and two months or 1260 days by the Gentiles-Rev.11:v.2. How will it be? Revelation 13:v.5-9:
5 There was given unto him (unto the Beast of sea (a Gentile Beast) a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months or 1260 days.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make War with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.

Revelation 7v.1-4 & 9-14
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees,
till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number,
of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying,
Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of GREAT TRIBULATION(Matt.24:v.21-22), and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

I have given you some passages of Scripture which tell of Jerusalem, Israel and the Jews today who do not believe in Jesus Christ. Jerusalem is of Hagar, because she is still in slavery with her children. She is paralleled to the Arab nations. She is no different.

Yes, I agree because you are right in this, except Jewish people be "paralleled to the Arab nations".

There is no longer Jew and Gentile. Jesus made them one in Christ.

Yes, but that interpretation is aplied exclusively unto them which are linked in JESUS, evidently.

Those who don't believe in Jesus are all the same no matter if they are Jew or Arab or Gentile by birth.
Who is not Jew is Gentile, so Arab is a Gentile people. Jewish and Gentile will be Judged in accord Scriptures as follows:

Roman 2:5-16
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil,
of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

12 For
as many as have sinned without law (the Gentiles) shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law(the Jews) shall be judged by the law;

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

14 For
when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
