    Exodus 35:21. And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

    Exodus 35:29. The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

    1 Chronicles 29:9. Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

    When the Holy Spirit fell on the day of Pentecost, a miracle occurred which had happened only briefly in the lives of God's people in the past. The disciples numbered approximately 120 in the upper room that day. Immediately after they received the gift of the Holy Spirit corporately, there were added about 3,000 souls! Even more impressive than the numbers though, was the immediate change of heart.

    Acts 2:44,45. And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
    and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, as every man had need.

    Acts 4:32. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

    So we see the need of God's Spirit to move for people to have a willing heart; to build the tabernacle in the wilderness, to prepare for Solomon to build a Temple, and for the saints to build a New House for God in the body of Christ.

    In these last days, will our hearts be willing when God pours out His Spirit?
    Psalm 110:3. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

    Certainly God is God and can do what He wants. He can send the Holy Spirit to influence our lives, but we also need to realize that God also gave us life which comes with the ability to make choices. God can influence me and I can still turn Him down, or reject Him.

    If we look at the situation in Acts, where the disciples were gather and after some time they received the Spirit; we must realize that they were not there because they already had received the Spirit! So they were there because the Lord had told them to wait there. They were influenced by the Lord and had a choice to make. They choose to gather together.

    Perhaps that is a little hard at this moment in time and one of the names for God is Wisdom (see Proverbs), but we now have the Spirit of God and it is written that if we seek we find. So are we making the decision to actually seek Him, or not?

    That is still a choice and seeking Him and listening to what He personally says to us via the Holy Spirit is not the same thing as talking or writing about Him. He asked me to writing a few things this morning. That is what I heard by deciding to listen to Him this morning. I wrote one post and thought I could now get to my work, but He stopped me and asked me to write another in this thread. I had a choice to make. Him and I are friends, so I could have not written about "choice" on this thread about "A willing heart", but if He asks I should choose to willingly follow His instruction. Of course that only happens if I have already chosen to seek Him and listen to what He has to personally tell me.

    It is okay to call it obedience!
    Jeremiah 7:23. But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
