If satan understands and quotes scriptures, how did he miss the prophecy of Isaiah in 53:1-12? if he didn't miss it, how come he carried out the role expected of him by instigating the crucifixion of a completely innocent being?

I think that Satan knows scripture but doesn't understand. I would even go so far as to say "Man doesn't understand scripture apart from God revealing it to them through the Spirit."

However, unlike Satan, Man has the ability to understand based on his trust of Christ. Something Satan will never do.
