Matthew 5:
43 You have heard that it hath been said, You shall love thy neighbor,
and hate your enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully use you,
and persecute you;
45 That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He makes
His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
These things we must do, as long as we have breath.
Matthew 22:
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken
to you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
We can do so, because we have no fear of death.
Hebrews 2:
14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself
likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had
the power of death, that is, the devil,
15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject
to bondage.
Herein therefore, is that victory. To be a lover and a fighter.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because
fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which
you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence
of many witnesses.
