Last year I brought a christmas tree
Tiny, but still rather proud
And after Christmas I took it out
And planted it on ground.

Throughout the year it showed its cones
And flourished by the garden wall,
A rather splendid Christmas tree
Although not yet very tall.

A Colorado spruce it is
And now its needles are sharp,
However they do not fall
Upon neither home or hearth.

It isn’t yet too heavy to move
But now it is twice first size
From last Winter when I brought it in market,
And I watch it with surprise.

It is festooned in winter tide
With baubles, tinsel and toys,
Wrapped presents shall sit around it
But it’s the tree that brings me joy.

Yo Bethany - enjoyable, tidy, poem telling a story. Thank you.
(Why here rather than in the poetry place?)
Go well from a fellow tree lover

I should have posted it in poetry
