No, it's not just following the protocols. Protocols without faith, any robot can do that better than a faithless priest can. Save us, Oh Lord.

Liturgy is where heaven and earth meet. If only we could see it through the dross. Fr. Z has said that to save the liturgy is to save the world. I think pope Benedict and the Zed are on the same page here. See if you agree.
