The article makes several serious mistakes in its text.

1) Its not a theory, its just a hypothesis. Theory must be already successfuly tested.
2) No theory/hypothesis can be "proved", it can be only based on huge amount of a solid evidence, tested and/or falsified.

From a scientific standpoint it might be hard to prove since definitionally it is a non-physical being! Since science is the study of material things it would be hard to imagine what experiment could verify or falsify any claim or causal relation.

And the place of sweet water is always accompanied by a tree.
