● “May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.”
(2 Peter 1:2-3, NLT)

● “God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.” (Ephesians 1:4, NLT)

● “work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen.”
(2 Peter 1:10, NLT)

● “work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14, NLT)

The heart attitude of a BAC determines his eternal future! It’s not nearly enough that he has received the Holy Spirit and has become a new creation in Christ
(2 Corinthians 5:17).

BACs were chosen and called to co-operate with the Holy Spirit unto holiness! Receiving God’s grace and the Holy Spirit is just the beginning!

The BAC has a trinity of everything he needs to be victorious (a successful overcomer) during the
process of his salvation:
1 – the indwelling Holy Spirit
2 – the new creation (his new self)
3 – the word of God
So, the BAC has no excuse for failing
to satisfy Father God.

The many WARNINGS in the NT are for …
the BAC who has chosen to live in habitual sin,
or who may later choose to live in a sinning lifestyle,
or who just falls away from the faith,
or who rejects Christ and falls from grace,
or who draws back to perdition,
or who does not endure during Christian persecution (coming soon),
or who takes the deadly mark of the beast
(also coming soon).

“He who loves his life will lose it
(his life: eternal life)”
(John 12:25)
... Stronger parallel verses:
Matthew 16:25-26, Mark 8:35-37, Luke 9:23-26

A BAC is required to continually repent of his sins.
This is a sign of one who has the right heart attitude before God.
He is required to be a habitual repenter,
not a habitual sinner!
(To repent means to be sorry about our sins,
to turn away from them, and do everything we can
to never do them again.)

If a BAC has the right heart attitude towards God,
he will be led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14),
and he will be doing such things as …
1 – reading the word and praying
2 – enduring in the faith
3 – repenting of his sins
4 – practicing righteousness
5 – practicing obedience
6 – loving, forgiving, not condemning
7 – living dedicated lives of holiness
… so God will see him as being righteous
(one who is living righteously).

One full page of NT verses is available
for most of the 7 topics above!

In your understanding , how do the called recieve the Spirit of Christ ? At the start of the Salvation journey , none of us have the Spirit of Christ yet . So Christ , His word , and His promises are not ours yet .

Are you saying we recieve the Spirit of Christ by claiming promises that aren't ours yet ?

(1) All unsaved people are completely totally unable
to choose Jesus and the gospel for 2 major Scriptural reasons (for which there are many NT verses)!

(2) Until very recently, I was convinced that Father God elected (chose and called) certain people a la Romans 9 because (before the foundation of the world) He saw
the end from the beginning of human history.
E.G. in the OT, God says He desires to dwell with
those having contrite and humble hearts.
(basic Calvinism)

(3) Lately, it has been suggested that God momentarily blockades the problem in (1) and convicts the non-believer of the truth (via the Holy Spirit) ... so
he/she is given a chance/choice to accept Christ.
(basic Arminianism)

Please note: I have known 3 people who told me (honestly, IMO) that they were OPEN to the gospel,
and to believing it, etc. ... but, who claim that
they just cannot believe it (i.e. they were unable
to believe even though they tried to believe)!

He convicts them hard enough to change them, or he doesn't. This "chance" business is funny, because nothing is left to chance with an omniscient and omnipotent God. As for this "choice" thing you've got going, they had a choice before being convicted, also. Even if the Holy Spirit brings them into balance on the fulcrum of deciding for or against, they will still fall one way or the other, and you have that balance being tipped by a cause with no origin other than itself. You still have the human will as a self-existent being, just like the I Am, and you still make it into a little god.

What is this little man, that he would presume to stand above the sovereignty of God?

No, sorry, 'bro! ...
You aren't seeing all of the NT verses which say that
man (on his own) is NOT capable of choosing Christ!
E.G. man doesn't choose to see the gospel
as foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18)!

Then, after becoming a BAC, man is confronted
with a multitude of free-will choices!
Here's a question for you:
Why did God give man free will?

Let's leave God's Word out of it for the moment .

We all start the Salvation journey without the Spirit of Christ . If we don't have the Spirit of Christ we are none of His , Rom. 8:9 .
So we all start out not being His . If we don't have the Spirit of Christ and Christ is not ours , then His Word and His promises in His word are not ours yet either .

With that said , how do we receive the Spirit of Christ and have it sealed in us , making Christ , His word , and His promises ours to claim ?

By responding to the Holy Spirit's convicting power
re: the Truth of the gospel message, i.e. believing it.
However, salvation is a process ...
as multitudes of NT verses prove!

I have just added this to post #3 ...

By " believing it " you mean claiming it . The only problem is His promises are not ours yet at that beginning stage of the Salvation journey .
