There seem always to be apologists for even the most violent, harmful, and unjustified behavior that people engage in. It's not just this episode.

Calling a protest mostly peaceful is like saying you're mostly cancer free. It's nonsense.

In both cases you have a huge, life-threatening problem that can metastasize at any moment and must be eradicated completely. No level of either is acceptable.

On side note, your average KKK rally is less violent than BLM

That was in the context of others starting the violence

[Dad voice]I don't care who started it. [/Dad voice]

But your excuse won't work; the protestors in that case hadn't physically attacked anyone. Trump initiated the violence.

Calling a protest mostly peaceful is like saying you're mostly cancer free. It's nonsense.

You're still confused. About 93% of BLM protests are non-violent. Big difference. And it's not that your guys weren't trying. They just couldn't ramp up enough people quickly enough to infiltrate the protests on a larger scale. So the great majority of BLM protests had no violence.

It appears that the right focused on doing a lot on a few demonstrations, rather than a little desultory vandalism and violence on many demonstrations. Quality over quantity, I suppose.

Well, no, because talking is not violence.

You're still confused
You're describing yourself. I don't have any 'guys'. And a great majority of Klan rallies don't have any violence. You don't need a majority to have violence in order to terrorize people. You only need a reasonable possibility of violence. And at about 1 in 10, that is the case with the new KKK known as BLM.

What I hear you saying is that there is an acceptable level of violence for your black supremacist cause. That is unacceptable.

How many people have died at Trump rallies? How many businesses have Trump rallygoers burned down? How many hospitals have they surrounded and intimidated? None. World of difference. At 93% it's not quite as peaceful as the modern KKK.

But then, BLM is the new KKK.

Trump merely incited violence. Others did it.

I don't have any 'guys'. And a great majority of Klan rallies don't have any violence.

I didn't say you guys were violent in your meetings. Trump wasn't running an official Klan rally. What I hear you saying is that there is an acceptable level of violence for white supremacist causes. This is unacceptable.

You don't need a majority to have violence in order to terrorize people.

True enough. The FBI data shows that only a minority of white nationalists were infiltrating BLM protests, but they caused a lot of disorder and conflict.

How many businesses have white nationalists burned down? FBI and police have identified a good number of them. How many hospitals have white nationalists surrounded and intimidated?

They did one in Michigan, preventing EMS traffic for a time, but since they got such bad publicity, they've ceased to do that.

How many police officers have white nationalist killed? Three, the last count. How many BLM? None.

World of difference.

White nationalism is the new KKK.

You could have saved a lot of time by just writing "I'm rubber; you're glue". i can't respond to most of that, given it's incoherent. However, of the intelligible stuff, I'll point out that BLM has killed quite a few police:

2016 shooting of Dallas police officers - Wikipedia

Then there's David Dorne, among others.

BLM has killed 30+ innocent people this year. By comparison, police killed, IIRC, 9 unarmed black people last year.

BLM is the new KKK

Sorry, you got fooled again. The gunman wasn't with BLM; he actually attacked a BLM demonstration, killing a number of police officers. The police were quite aware that he had no connection to BLM; in fact, BLM members aided the police during the sniper's shooting.

Black Lives Matter condemns Dallas, pushes forward with protests

Police said at least one gunman ambushed Dallas officers as they walked along streets filled with demonstrators upset over police shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota. Authorities identified the gunman as Micah Johnson, a 25-year-old Army veteran from suburban Dallas. Police haven't given any indication that the Dallas shooter had anything to do with Black Lives Matter or any other group.

Police Chief David Brown said the gunman told a police negotiator during a standoff that he was "upset about Black Lives Matter" and had acted on his own. Brown didn't elaborate on the man's statements about the group, but added: "He said he was upset about the recent police shootings. The suspect said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated that he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers."

Two civilians also were hurt, but police appeared to be the prime targets. Rather than tactical gear, many officers were wearing uniform shorts. A few posed for photos with the demonstrators before the gunfire began.

Remember, when people tell you things you really, really want to be true, that's when you're easiest to fool, and need to be most skeptical. Could save you future embarrassment.

Then there's David Dorne, among others.

Show us that this black man was killed by a BLM member, rather than by a white supremacist. What do you have?

BLM has killed 30+ innocent people this year.

But you can't document even one of them? We all know why.

A good many people who are BLM movement/organization supporters feel that Trump supporters already have the police to do their rioting and intimidation for them.

So, it says right on the Wikipedia article for the incident that he wanted "to kill white people, especially white officers." He had interest in black nationalist groups, was "upset about Black Lives Matter". In programming we have this thing that stems from scientific categorizing. It's called "duck typing". eg "If it looks, waddles, quacks, swims, and flies like a duck" then it's a duck.

He looks, waddles, quacks and swims like a BLM supporter. He's a BLM supporter.

You really have to do some mental contortion on this one to deny that he supported BLM and it's objectives and ideology.

I also mentioned David Dorne. The retired police captain. Not surprising that you didn't address him.

That members of a black supremacist movement engage in emotional reasoning shouldn't come as a surprise. It's typical of any racial supremacist group. The numbers, however, put the lie to their claims.

For example, last year, in a nation of ~320,000,000, the police shot and killed about nine unarmed black people.

Also, BLM is a fraud. Their stated goals are to defund or abolish the police. A recent Gallup survey found that 81% of Americans who happen to be black want the same increased police presence in their neighborhoods; 61% and 20%, respectively. BLM does not represent your average black American.

But the part you tried to cover up was that he wasn't part of BLM. The police confirmed that in the story. You know this. Everyone else knows it. So what's the point? We see Russian trolls trying to spread that kind of disinformation. Why would you want to do it too?

In programming we have this thing that stems from scientific categorizing. It's called "duck typing". eg "If it looks, waddles, quacks, swims, and flies like a duck" then it's a duck.

Maybe so... In this case, your programming seems to have betrayed you.

He looks, waddles, quacks and swims like a BLM supporter. He's a BLM supporter.

Because he hides in a building and shoots up a BLM protest? Nice try. You really have to do some mental contortion on this one to claim that he supports BLM and its objectives. The police already know better. The Dallas police, BTW, had a pretty good relationship with the public. They were, at the time, tied with another city for the lowest number of police shootings per capita.

Just before the sniper opened fire on the protest:
CmzgvqhVMAAckrT.jpg

The guy in the middle is a BLM organizer. One of his fellow organizers helped police clear the square, and others helped locate the sniper.

I get how desperately you want to believe your story or maybe get us to believe it. But the reality won't conform to your wishes.

No it didn't. All it says was " Police haven't given any indication that the Dallas shooter had anything to do with Black Lives Matter or any other group." You're making an appeal to silence. Police didn't give any indication that he was wearing shoes while he made the attack either. However, other evidence suggests he was.

Because he hides in a building and shoots up a BLM protest? .

Shooting police at a BLM protest is not the same as shooting up a BLM protest. David Dorne, whom you ignore once again, is proof of that.

Several times. And Trump incited it.

Trump: ‘Knock the Crap Out’ of Protesters, I'll Pay Legal Fees
Trump: ‘Knock the Crap Out’ of Protesters, I'll Pay Legal Fees

It's how his followers got the idea.

But nice work, turning the attention to Trump.

If anyone got the crap knocked out of them, it didn't come to light. Certainly no businesses burned down, or people being dragged out of vehicles and their skull smashed with bricks, or anyone being shot for being white. Bernie Sanders followers (now the extreme left of the left) seem to have that market cornered.

White nationalism is the new KKK.

And yet it's the Marxist terrorist organization known as BLM that is committing the violence. Makes the KKK look pretty tame.

The part you're trying to cover up now, is the police reported that the man admitted that he wasn't part of BLM.

The evidence shows he wasn't part of BLM, so you've concluded that proves he was part of BLM. Is there perhaps some evidence you're reluctant to show us?

Shooting police at a BLM protest is not the same as shooting up a BLM protest.

He didn't just shoot police. He got two civilians in the demonstration too. Which you saw, but now attempt to hide. Didn't work; it's on the board above. C'mon.

David Dorne, whom you ignore once again,

You perhaps forgot that I showed you that Dorne was a black man killed at a demonstration, noting that you merely assumed a BLM person killed him. And you offered no evidence for your assumption.

Except it doesn't say that. If I do a news report about this sub-forum and say "Barbarian showed up several times today, but didn't give any indication if he planned to later this afternoon" then that doesn't mean you don't plan to. It just means you didn't specify. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

We know he allied with the BLM cause. His motive was to answer the call to "what do we want? Dead cops". That's proof right there. Having bad aim doesn't change that.

And then there's the fact that black supremacist protestors have assaulted and tried to kill plenty of police officers. How messed is it that we're sitting here like "yeah but they weren't competent enough to succeed and people saved them so it doesn't count"? Acting as an apologist for black supremacist violence at all it's beyond the pale.

But if the evidence shows he was upset at BLM, admitted he wasn't part of BLM, and the police could find no evidence linking him to BLM, and he shot up a BLM protest, hitting police and civilians in the demonstration, then it would be rather foolish to claim he was part of BLM, wouldn't it? Absence of evidence is not evidence of presence.

We know he allied with the BLM cause.

If so, shooting up their demonstration is an odd way to show that.

His motive was to answer the call to "what do we want? Dead cops".

You've got some evidence that slogan is endorsed by BLM? As you now realize, BLM condemned the shooting of police. And they've been observed protecting police officers in riots:

iu

BLM organizers form protective circle around police officer separated from his fellow officers in Louisville.

That's proof right there.

And then there's the fact that black supremacist protestors have assaulted and tried to kill plenty of police officers.

Show us that. Checkable sources. Meantime, the real killers of police officers...

Far-right “Boogaloo boy” killed officer after using Black Lives Matter protest as cover: prosecutors
“Boogaloo boy” killed officer, used BLM protest as cover: prosecutors

And other white nationalists have tried to kill police, but failed:
Two men, one from North Carolina, who proclaimed themselves to be members of an anti-government group that openly carried guns during unrest following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and planned to carry out destructive plans in North Carolina, have been charged with federal terrorism counts.
...
The ‘Boogaloo’ movement is a loosely-held network of anti-government extremists who favor a violent overthrow of the American government. The far-right movement is also called a ‘militia’
...
Addressing the arrests, Assistant Attorney General John C Demers for the National Security Division said in a statement: “This case can only be understood as a disturbing example of the old adage, ‘The enemy of your enemy is your friend’.”

“Thinking that they shared the same desire to harm the United States, they sought to join forces and provide support, including in the form of weapons accessories, to Hamas,” he said. Hamas is a Palestinian Sunni-Islamic fundamentalist group which is a federally designated foreign terrorist group.
2 'Boogaloo Bois' arrested for plotting with Hamas to bomb courthouse and kill senators, White supremacists

They are incompetent idiots, but they mean to kill police and other government officials. Next time, maybe they'll be competent enough to succeed.

How messed is it that we're sitting here like "yeah but they weren't competent enough to succeed and people saved them so it doesn't count"?

Speak for yourself. Acting as an apologist for right-wing violence at all it's beyond the pale.

So, as I already pointed out, there's a difference between shooting up a group and shooting at officers in the group. I don't plan on running around in circles like this. It's not an honest approach to a discussion, which makes it impossible to have an honest discussion about the issues. I'm out

So, as I already pointed out, there's a difference between shooting up a group and shooting at officers in the group.

The difference is when only officers are wounded. In this case, he got civilians in the march, too. As you know, he had some issues with BLM, so it didn't really matter to him, if they got hurt.

I don't plan on running around in circles like this.

I can't tell whether you forget some stuff, or just don't want to accept it.

It's not an honest approach to a discussion

I didn't mean to imply that you were dishonest. I think your ideology blinds you to some things.

Yeah, we've kinda covered it all. Take care, and God bless.
