How far can the self-belief that you make your own happiness carry you, creating conditions for a self-fulfilling prophecy? A new study shows there is a happy correlation.

A new survey of 1,155 respondents found that 89% of people think that their happiness can be controlled—and these people are 32% happier than those who don’t think that happiness can be controlled.

The average happiness rating given by participants who think happiness is controllable is 7.39. In contrast, the average happiness rating of people who think happiness is out of their control is 5.61.

We can experience that we are in control.

But things come that are out of our control.

Then is when what we think can make things interesting.

If we believe we still can make ourselves happy, in spite of what is not in our control, this can be an interesting statistic for the study :)

And interesting item would be >

"When things come against you, why do you think you still can be happy?"

Solomon was the richest man in history, he was also the wisest man in history. He tried to find true happiness by having sex with 400 of his girl friends, buying every luxury item available and he found himself empty and miserable.
He realised that he couldn't full fill his lusts and desires with the things of this world, so he concluded that everything is vanity.
God allowed him to have everything he desired, so he could understand that only god can full fill his desires. So we can learn from Solomon, who had everything this world can offer yet he found himself empty and depressed.
