Americans are more dissatisfied with the country’s direction than at any time since the New York Times/CBS News poll began asking about the subject in the early 1990s, according to the latest poll.

In the poll, 81 percent of respondents said they believed “things have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track,” up from 69 percent a year ago and 35 percent in early 2002.

Yet Americans will probably elect a guy to the Presidency in November that 1. admits he knows nothing about economic issues 2. is too old to learn at this point and 3. wants U.S. troops to stay in Iraq for the next 100 years.

Americans = geniuses?

Apparently not.

Like there is much choice in the remaining candidates?

How can people not feel we are going the wrong way.
The economy is down, Iraq is slow progressing, Congress can't agree on much. We have way to many
war prisoners being held and can't agree on how to trial them. We can't even agree on border securtiy or torture.

So what exactly would be so bad about having Obama for president? Remember, he isn't his pastor, so don't try to bring that up.

So what exactly would be so bad about having Obama for president?...

Exactly. The guy has written not one, but two books. He is also well-educated and highly intelligent. He inspires confidence in people.

How is all that not an improvement over what we have now, by any number of orders of magnitude?
