The only country music I like is Bluegrass--particularly the classic, older songs. Which must be performed with all acoustic instruments. Some modern versions are excellent. Like this. (With killer guitar picking by Randy Scruggs.)

This very old Civil War song was used in the PBS series. Kathy's vocal is great, as is the acoustic accompaniment. Very cool mandolin and dobro.
