72 Terrorists since 9/11 From Seven Countries on Trump Ban List

Since 9/11, 72 individuals from the seven mostly Muslim countries covered by President Trump's "extreme vetting" executive order have been convicted of terrorism, bolstering the administration's immigration ban.

According to a report out Saturday, at least 17 claimed to be refugees from those nations, three came in as "students," and 25 eventually became U.S. citizens.

These don't seem to check out. For instance, the first one I checked had never been a refugee, but rather was an international operative who worked with our buddy Oliver North (remember him?), an agent of Ronald Reagan. Others are native born US citizens, and so on.

Seriously, if this is the kind of stuff republicans are pointing to so as to make sure they can shove desperate women and children back under the guns, they are pretty desperate.

Of course it does. It claims a bunch of terrorists from Syria and other countries on the banned list, and provides a link. Clicking on the link goes to a list of names. Searching for "Syria" in that list turns up the example I gave. <staff edit>
