  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

So sorry dear one to hear of your situation especially with family members, I understand that this is not uncommon sadly and can only say that your beautiful faith in God shines through in your posts.

I posted previously that I was able to care for both my parents ( I have always been single and we lived together) but not all my siblings were particularly supportive, so I have seen both sides and my heart goes out to you.

The most comforting thing to remember is that this life is nothing compared to what God has prepared for all His children.
Understandably, living with pain daily ( I do also) really wears you down, what helps me is knowing Jesus understands every single part of our pain having suffered so much for us, and He holds us through it all.

God bless you and your dear wife

I have Metastatic Melanoma, stage 4, I'm going into hospice care and the next stage will be nursing care. I don't like it but llife isnt really offering me a lot of options.

With the baby boomers aging now sociol securiity and assisted living are going to feel some strain for a while, but it will tapper off after a while. I know I like this option better then wasting away in an over crowded cancer ward.

    HeavenHome,

Your handle says it all. Only in Jesus can we really find peace. This world if full of travail and suffering. It prepares us for the Call of our Master.

With all these problems of the elderly, don't forget to prepare and sign a Living Will and Advanced Directives where necessary. Those documents give an elderly person with severe suffering the right to refuse all treatment including nutrition and hydration.

These documents must be prepared while mentally competent and will be enforced by one's surrogates when incompetent.

The elderly would also need a spouse and / or children in sympathy with these documents.

My spouse supports me using these documents, if required, but my kids do not.

Christ takes care of us but we must supply the means.

Well to a large extent we have great influence over whether we end up being a statistic or not. We need to reject this failed medical system and work with our bodies to keep us healthy.
