Not familiar with that verse. Good one...kinda' reminds me of some verses in Job :)

Indeed!

How about Salome (the nice one in Mark 15:40, not the she-wolf who demanded the head of John the Baptist).

shoots

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will take a shoot from the very top of a cedar and plant it; I will break off a tender sprig from its topmost shoots and plant it on a high and lofty mountain. On the mountain heights of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit and become a splendid cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its branches. (Ezekiel 17:21-23)

Let's go back to little Samuel again: Samuel was ministering before the Lord, a boy clothed with a linen ephod. And his mother used to make for him a little robe and take it to him each year when she went up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. (1 Samuel 2:18-19)

Never heard of Salome. Thanks!

I believe Salome is the infamous one, daughter of Herodias, famous for her 7 veiled dance before her sort of stepfather, King Herod, and for asking him, after dancing all of her veils away, for the head of John the Baptist on a platter as per her mother's request :eek:

I meant the other Salome, of course, Salome the Myrrhbearer (Mark 15:40, Mark 16:1), who was probably Mary's sister (John 19:25), Jesus' aunt, the wife of Zebedee, and the mother of James and John (Matthew 27:56).

But for the next word, how about Elijah ?

Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, you are very great!
You are clothed with splendour and majesty,
covering yourself with light as with a garment,
stretching out the heavens like a tent.
He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters;
he makes the clouds his chariot;
he rides on the wings of the wind;
he makes his messengers winds,
his ministers a flaming fire. ...
May the glory of the Lord endure for ever;
may the Lord rejoice in his works, ...
Bless the Lord, O my soul!
Praise the Lord!
(Psalm 104)

The next word is... endure.
