Who is the woman? There is actually a group claiming its a 2nd god, which I know sounds silly. But I am curious who the woman really is.

The woman of Revelation 12? Well, consider that the Revelation isn't all about the future. But about him who "was, is, and is to come".

And John said he literally looked UP at the sky. Consider that he actually meant that. As in, a sign in the sky. The woman is the constellation Virgo, and the crown of stars is literal too. In an earthy sense, there is only one virgin and one birth King of the Jews attacked by Satan - Mary and Jesus.

There appeared - a great wonder in heaven
a woman
another wonder -dragon
-another sign - seven angels

These are not constellations.

Watch the vid. The Dragon used to be a constellation in the ancient world: a combination of scorpio and libra. There is only one woman constellation, which is Virgo. It's already been theorized that a conjuction of Regulus and Jupiter was a good candidate for the wandering star of the Magi in Matthew -- and it all lines up with this formation of Virgo, Leo, Jupiter/Regulus, the "Sun clothing the woman" (in her midsection) and the Moon at her feet. Not to mention it occurs on the Feast of Trumpets, when Jews would call out God as king..and the traditional Jewish new year.

If Revelation didn't mean this, it was the freakiest of freak occurances, because it all lines up with a much discussed date for Jesus' birth (3 BC.. along with being around Herod's death). Not to mention it lines up with Daniel's prophecy of 70 Weeks and his dating when the Messiah's minstry came (27 AD).

edit: Just to clarify that Daniel part :)

If you recall, Daniel prophesied 69 Weeks from the time the Temple was decreed to be rebuilt until the time of the Messiah. The decree went out from Artaxerxes in 457BC. From 457BC, we fast forward 483 years (69 weeks), and reach 27 AD. If Jesus was born in 3 BC (because Catholics originally miscalculated his birthdate), then he was 30 years old, just as the Bible said he started his ministry, and when Daniel predicted it. So I'll just say my above statement about Revelation at least works well with that, among the other strange occurrences surrounding it.

It isn't important though, and I don't want to fight about it. Just food for thought. Oh, and last but not least, I'm by no means teaching weird New Age stuff or astrology. Just think of it in Genesis terms. The Sun, Moon, and Stars were given to us to track times and seasons. :)

God's wrath begins in the 6th seal...and thus, into the 7th seal. But what happens in Rev. 7?
There is a new vision. A vision and more-that includes the great tribulation. The great tribulation is the wrath of Satan and the little horn. This wrath time is told in detail after the 7th seal has been opened. Rev. 12 - the devil is cast down -Woe -to the inhabiters of the earth and sea -the woman flees from the face of the dragon, not the wrath of God - not from His face.

God showed His face in the 6th seal - brought mercy to Israel,
but after the 7th seal is opened, Revelation goes back in time to reveal the events at the time of the wrath of the dragon.

Rev 12:17

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
/the dragon was wroth

Rev 12:12

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
/devil -having great wrath
woe - to the inhabiters of the earth and sea
he - hath but a short time

The great tribulation is not the wrath of God, but of the devil against Israel. It will be the time of the Gentiles over the holy city and holy site. Israel will be scattered. The two witnesses will prophesy and be slain. The wrath of God does not kill them, but the wrath of the beast does.
Hi if you go to Isaiah 61 we see a somewhat familiar passage where the chapter begins at a place where Jesus took the scroll and read a portion of a sentence about the Spirit of the LORD being upon him and read until the line and to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD. Jesus said this day this is fulfilled in your presence. The rest of the sentence in Isaiah is speaking of the same person (Jesus) and described what will occur in the day of vengeance of our God. The chapter shows what is accomplished in this day and it is the same period as Daniels 70th week, Jeremiah's time of Jacobs trouble and Revelation and Daniels 70th week. This entire week of the day of vengeance and wrath. The 1st 5 seals kill off what now would be over 2 billion people. This whole 7 years is the tribulation and it does get progressively worse from here but you will note two groups in these days. One group is large and turns to Jesus and is killed off and they are a multitude that will be saved in this time. The others did not repent and go through even worse.
