My show desktop icon has disappeared from the bottom bar where the Start thingie is... how do I get it back there? If you tell me and I succeed you get 500 blessings!

Can I tell you another way Breezy?

Near your space bar, (to the left of it) there is the "Windows" key.... Hold it down and press D (for Desktop) Press that key combination again to restore all the programs to their original position.

I have the icon on my desktop, and did the action again and nothing happened.

There is something fairly simple but I just cannot remember it.

If you have the show desktop icon on your desktop, then just "drag" it into the space next to your start button... Do you have other icons showing there right now?

Windows + D is a keyboard shortcut instead of clicking the button.

If you don't any icons showing to the right of the Start button, right click on a little bit of the grey space immediately to the right of the Start button. Go to "toolbars" and make sure "Quick Launch" is selected.

Well, I am back to square one.. no show desktop icon in my start taskbar. I need a solution that stays. It was there this morning, but said the shortcut is not connected to anything when I tried to use it.
